Raiders vs Browns Week 15 Prop Bets: Raiding Cleveland's Decimated Defense

The Browns' near-unrecognizable roster makes locking in NFL player props almost impossible. The Raiders, on the other hand, are much more set in how they'll approach this Monday matchup, so we're all-in on the Silver and Black today.

Week 15 in the NFL has a pair of Monday games after the matchup between the Cleveland Browns and Las Vegas Raiders was pushed back from its originally scheduled slot on Saturday.

With the Browns lineup decimated by a COVID-19 outbreak, the league was hoping the extra two days would give Cleveland enough time to get back some depth. However, with only a few players cleared to come back for this 5:00 p.m. ET kickoff, sportsbooks have been reluctant to post Browns player props.

That said, there are several tempting Raiders props on the NFL betting board which is where we're putting our money in our free player props and predictions for the Raiders vs. Browns on Monday, December 20.

Raiders vs Browns Week 15 props

After a highly productive rookie season in 2019, Raiders running back Josh Jacobs has been less than impressive. This year, Jacobs is averaging just 3.7 yards per carry for 496 yards through 11 games.

However, the former first-round pick is the unquestioned workhorse in the backfield after Kenyan Drake was shuttled to the IR with a broken ankle in Week 13. Jacobs had just nine carries for 24 yards last week in the Raiders 48-9 loss to the Chiefs, but the negative game script meant Vegas was forced to give up on the running game.

This should be a much closer contest, which will mean more rush attempts and yards for Jacobs. With the Browns surrendering 154.5 rushing yards per game over their last four contests, Jacobs should be able to go over his 57.5 rushing yards total — even if he grinds that out with shorter runs.

PICK: Josh Jacobs Over 57.5 rushing yards (-115)

When the Raiders released speedster Henry Ruggs, Hunter Renfrow elevated his game to another level. The third-year wide receiver is coming off a season-high 13 catches for 117 yards against the Chiefs, giving him three-straight games with at least eight catches and over 100 yards receiving.

While Renfrow will likely be shadowed by Cleveland's top cover man Denzel Ward, he has been running more deep routes in recent weeks and should be able to take advantage of a secondary that will be without starting safety Ronnie Harrison and primary backup Grant Delpit.

Tight end Darren Waller has also been ruled out again this week. Despite the loss of Waller and Ruggs, Carr hasn't really locked on to any receivers besides Renfrow, with Zay Jones, Bryan Edwards, and the recently acquired DeSean Jackson not getting consistent looks. Expect Renfrow to be the primary target of Carr once again, and with the O/U on his catches set at 6.5, a number he has eclipsed in six of his last seven games, take the Over.

PICK: Hunter Renfrow Over 6.5 receptions (+125)

Kickers don't typically get much attention (unless they shank field goals in the clutch or get kicked by their coach) so when the Raiders inked Daniel Carlson to a four-year, $18.4-million extension earlier this month, you know he's been doing a good job.

Carlson didn't get many opportunities to kick for the uprights in the Raiders blowout loss last week, but he has still booted at least a pair of field goals in nine of 13 games this season.

Carlson has connected on more than 90 percent of his field-goal attempts this year (including five from more than 50 yards out) and he's been getting plenty of shorter attempts with the Raiders ranking just 29th in the league in red-zone touchdown percentage. Expect Carlson to hit the Over 1.5 on his field goals made today.

PICK: Daniel Carlson Over 1.5 field goals (+110)
