The Lions come to Carolina for a rare Panthers prime-time game. Jason Logan has three fun combo trades for Lions vs. Panthers on Sunday Night Football.

The lights come on at Bank of America Stadium for the first time in a long time when the Carolina Panthers host the Detroit Lions in a rare prime-time tilt tonight.

The NFC pecking order is still being sorted, making this a monster matchup for both teams. Sunday Night Football is the perfect setting for some fun combo trades and NFL picks.

Here are a few of my favorite Lions vs. Panthers combos for Oct. 4. Be sure to also check out our Lions vs. Panthers predictions.

Lions vs Panthers combo

Lions -3.5

Sione Vaki touchdown

Chuba Hubbard 15+ receiving yards

Injuries really have the Carolina Panthers in a bad place in Week 4. Carolina is missing bodies at just about every level, including the offensive line. That doesn’t bode well against an aggressive Detroit Lions pass rush that has already collected 12 sacks on the season.

Sione Vaki doesn’t get a lot of love playing behind Jahmyr Gibbs, but with the team conscious of his wear and tear, the RB2 has seen his snaps spike. If the Lions can pull away late, Vaki presents excellent value to score a garbage-time TD for the visitors.

Chuba Hubbard not only has to pick up the slack for a dinged-up Carolina receiving corps but will be a checkdown option for QB Bryce Young when pressure comes.

He’s shown pass-catching capabilities already, and his projections sit closer to 20 yards through the air.

Lions vs Panthers touchdown combo

Amon-Rah St. Brown

Jahmyr Gibbs

Darren Waller

The Panthers are down their top two corners, which means Amon-Ra St. Brown will feast on DBs deeper in the depth chart. St. Brown and this new offense have really started clicking, and he’s already found the end zone five times in 2026.

Gibbs is Gibbs. He’s doing damage on the ground and through the air. Carolina is struggling with running backs and owns the worst red-zone defense in the land. Gibbs boasts the highest TD percentage of any player in Week 4.

Darren Waller has made a splash in his first year with the Panthers. He’s struck for two touchdowns, and with injuries to the Carolina WR room, Waller saw a spike in targets last week. The Lions have also allowed a league-worst six touchdowns to tight ends this season.

Lions vs Panthers milestone combo

Chuba Hubbard 25+ receiving yards

Jared Goff 3+ passing touchdowns

Sione Vaki 15+ rushing yards

Hubbard’s role in the receiving game is bigger in Week 4, and some models put him around 20 yards on SNF. Hubbard has already had two games of 25+ receiving yards this season, including 38 yards versus a blitz-happy Bears defense in Week 1.

Jared Goff looked great in Drew Petzing’s new system last week and takes on a Panthers secondary missing two top corners. Goff faces a zone-centric coverage scheme from Carolina and currently sits among the best QBs at slicing and dicing zones.

Vaki got a surge in snaps last week with Detroit trying to lessen the load on Gibbs. Vaki ran well and will continue to see his snaps climb, especially if Detroit is in a run-positive game script and playing with the lead.

Carolina is one of the worst defenses against the run right now, and Vaki finished with 26 yards in Week 3.
