There’s no way the Buffalo Bills lose the first game inside their new stadium, right? I don’t see a blowout by any means, but Buffalo looked mighty in Week 1. The Bills hung a ton of points on Houston’s top-rated stop unit, and the Mafia will be well-oiled and out in force.
Josh Allen is going to do everything he can to get this win, including tearing up the turf with his legs. The Lions were very aggressive in Week 1, blitzing at the third-highest rate for five sacks. Allen will take off from pressure, on top of calling his own number, and projections call for 30+ rushing yards.
On the other side, Detroit Lions' top target Amon-Ra St. Brown is coming off a busy Week 1 in which he caught 10 of 14 passes his way. The slot receiver can exploit a soft spot in the Bills' coverage, and with Buffalo pressing a banged-up Lions O-line, Jared Goff will look to St. Brown as a quick hit to avoid pressure.

James Cook was lightly used in Buffalo's Week 1 shootout against Houston, and offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael told the media they need to get the ball in his hands going forward. Let’s hope that means seeing more touches in the red zone.
St. Brown caught two touchdowns in Week 1, and I like him to strike again in Week 2. Bills defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard rolled out a lot of zone coverage against the Texans, and St. Brown ranks among the elite WRs against zone at PFF.

St. Brown had 10 receptions in Week 1, and given the spread and totals, game script suggests Detroit will be playing from behind and needing to pass.
Jahmyr Gibbs caught all five passes his way in Week 1, amassing 30 yards. Not only is he a checkdown option, but the Lions ran designed passes for him. Once the ball is in Gibbs' hands, he’s a threat for big gains.
Allen ran only six times in Week 1, picking up 23 yards. When it comes to high-stakes matchups, Allen decides to do it all. Last year, he ran for 66 yards in a playoff loss to Denver, 78 in a showdown with Cincinnati, and 53 in an AFC East rivalry with New England.
