TD prop #1: Bucky Irving first TD scorer
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the New Orleans Saints and are the second biggest favorites on the spread on Sunday’s slate. Given they won 23-3 when these teams met in October, we should see a Tampa Bay player score the opener.
You can’t look any further than Bucky Irving to score for the Bucs. The running back returned in last week’s win and stepped on the field for the first time since Week 4. Irving immediately took the bulk of the carries, meaning no snap count and a hearty 17-carry workload.
At least these odds, he offers great value to score first.
TD prop #2: Davante Adams first TD scorer
The biggest favorite of the day is the Los Angeles Rams, and it goes without saying that we have to take Davante Adams to open the scoring on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.
Adams is turning in a truly vintage season for his new team and has already racked up 14 receiving touchdowns. That puts him as the highest scoring wideout and third overall behind Jonathan Taylor and Jahmyr Gibbs.
He’s scored in six straight games and is a huge threat here. He leads all of football in red zone targets, with a whopping 28, averaging more than two per game. The Cardinals haven’t given up many touchdowns to WRs this season, but Adams is a step above nearly anyone in the league and is developing a real chemistry with Matthew Stafford.
TD prop #3: Dalton Kincaid first TD scorer
We’re taking Dalton Kincaid to score the first touchdown as the Buffalo Bills meet the Cincinnati Bengals. He’s scored four touchdowns this season despite playing just eight games.
I expect the tight end to score first because the Bengals have been woeful against the position this season and have allowed a staggering 13 touchdowns to the position in just 12 games.
Despite missing four games this season, Kincaid is still tied with James Cook for the most first touchdowns on the Bills roster this season, with three. He’s a key part of this offense and looks mispriced here.
The bad news is that he’s on the injury report and questionable to play. If Kincaid doesn’t suit up, then pivot to Dawson Knox.
