Corinthians Arena in Sao Paulo, Brazil is the stage for Friday’s Week 1 fight between the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers.

This standalone game features plenty of offensive firepower, including an up-and-coming superstar for the Bolts.

My Chiefs vs. Chargers SGP pick shines the spotlight on rookie running back Omarion Hampton, but gives the “W” to the defending AFC champs.

Our best Chiefs vs Chargers SGP for Week 1

Omarion Hampton may be RB2 on the depth chart behind Najee Harris, but he’s been running this offense and turning heads all summer. Harris was just cleared for contact after a fireworks accident kept him out of camp and preseason play.

Projections for Hampton are very positive, with a high of 74 yards on the ground.

The Kansas City Chiefs’ rushing defense was a big blemish in the second half of last season. Opponents ran up and down on Kansas City, and I like Hampton’s furious running style to crack K.C. for big gains and finish off a drive with the rookie’s first career touchdown.

After saying all those good things about the Los Angeles Chargers, I’m still giving Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid the benefit of the doubt.

Los Angeles’ defense isn’t as good as it looked in 2024, and the pass rush lost a lot of bite. Mahomes will have time to pick apart this L.A. secondary and rid the sour taste of a Super Bowl loss.
