The Los Angeles Rams have lost two games in a row which has seen them drop out of the race to win the first-round bye in the NFC. However, despite securing a wild card spot, the playoffs loom heavily over this game.
If the Seahawks beat the 49ers on Saturday then the Rams can finish fifth if they win this game. That’s huge with the potential to face the Panthers or Bucs instead of the Bears or Eagles on the road.
Sean McVay has said he’ll start his first stringers after their poor performance against the Falcons, and assuming the Hawks win, then he surely will. Although there’s always the potential that they’re rested, and the likes of Jimmy Garoppolo could start.
Either way, this Arizona Cardinals team has had poor play and have lost eight games in a row. They’ve covered the spread just once in their past eight games. The Rams, despite a poor couple of weeks, are still tied top for covering the spread in the most games, 11, this season.
Even if the Rams are resting players, there's a strong chance for them to cover the spread at SoFi. But if Matthew Stafford and Puka Nacua are playing, then it’s an easy cover for the more motivated and far superior team.
