My Browns vs. Jets prediction is backing Cleveland to cover as a 2.5-point road underdog, with its relentless pass rush poised to make life miserable for Geno Smith.

The 3-1 Browns have won three straight and get extra rest against a struggling New York offense. I expect Cleveland to keep rolling when these teams clash at MetLife Stadium today at 1 p.m. ET.

Find out why I'm taking the points with the visitors in my latest NFL picks for Week 5.

 TOP Pick
Browns vs Jets prediction: Browns +2.5

Play up to 55%.

The Cleveland Browns are a 2.5-point road underdog, and I’m happy to take them against a New York Jets offense that still hasn’t shown much consistency.

New York ranks 28th in rushing, 22nd in total offense, and 18th through the air while managing just 157 total yards against Chicago last weekend.

That gives Cleveland’s defense a clear opportunity to control the matchup and force the Jets into obvious passing situations.

The Browns also have three extra days to prepare after playing Thursday night in Week 4, another advantage against an offense struggling to sustain drives.

Cleveland has now won three straight, and with its defense capable of disrupting a limited New York offense, I like the Browns to stay inside the number and potentially win outright.

Covers COVERS INTEL: The Browns own the NFL’s fifth-highest pressure rate at 41.5%, giving them a clear path to disrupting New York’s passing attack.

Browns vs Jets combo

I firmly believe Cleveland has a legitimate shot at winning its fourth consecutive game, and the game script I'm expecting also sets up nicely for one player prop from each side.

Quinshon Judkins is only averaging three YPC, but he's had a pair of productive games over the last two weeks, surpassing this total in both. The Jets are also horrible against the run, ranking 25th.

Garrett Wilson, meanwhile, remains one of Geno Smith's top weapons. He has 31 targets in four games and 24 total receptions.

Wilson had a tough game in Week 4, but he cashed the Over in catches in his three previous appearances. Cleveland isn't exactly stout downfield, ranking 23rd against the pass.

Browns vs Jets combo

  • Browns moneyline
  • Quinshon Judkins Over 59.5 rushing yards
  • Garrett Wilson Over 5.5 receptions

Browns vs Jets touchdown scorer: Harold Fannin Jr.

Play up to 35%.

Harold Fannin Jr. has played an integral part in Cleveland's success. The big-bodied tight end has a team-best three touchdowns, and all three of his red-zone targets have resulted in scores.

He's been a reliable weapon for quarterback Deshaun Watson, posting a 20% target share through the first month. That level of involvement gives Fannin a strong floor, but his goal-line usage really stands out.

The Browns clearly trust him in scoring situations, and his size makes him a difficult matchup for linebackers and defensive backs.

With Fannin consistently involved in the passing game and already establishing himself as one of Watson's preferred red-zone options, another score is firmly in play.

Browns vs Jets player prop: Denzel Boston Over 48.5 receiving yards

Play up to 55%.

Denzel Boston has been incredibly consistent for Cleveland. He's cashed the Over in three of four outings this season, and Boston is fresh off an 89-yard performance against the Steelers.

Boston is also averaging 21.8 yards per catch, meaning just a couple of long receptions could help him get close to this total. The wideout owns a 19% target share and is averaging 5.5 targets per contest through the first month.

With Boston seeing consistent opportunities and capable of creating chunk plays, he doesn't need massive volume to clear 49.5 yards. I like him to make the most of his targets and cash the Over again on Sunday.
