Ohio vs Western Michigan prediction

Ohio vs Western Michigan best bet: Under 47.5 (-110)

The Ohio Bobcats are rolling, having won three in a row and four of the last five. However, it’s been getting harder to put up points as the competition strengthens down the home stretch.

The Bobcats just downed the Miami (OH) RedHawks 24-20, which will count as their biggest win of the season for just one week.

Ohio is second in scoring in the MAC at 28.7 points per game, but it's been held to 24 points or fewer in three of its last four games.

The defense, which allows 24.2 points per game (sixth in the MAC), has also tightened up, down to 20.5 per contest over the last four.

The Western Michigan Broncos have also reeled off five wins in six, with their only loss coming against Miami (OH).

They’ve scored 24 points or fewer in four of those games, but they have a defense that’s ranked second in the MAC, only giving up 19 points per game.

During this fun run, the Broncos have been even stingier, dropping that total to just 12.8 points per contest, which includes a shutout.

Ohio has seen the Under cash in three of its last four, and the Under has hit in each of its last two contests.

Ohio vs Western Michigan same-game parlay

Parker Navarro has thrown for at least 200 yards in five of the last six games for Ohio, and he threw for 188 yards in a loss to Ball State in the other.

Though the Western Michigan defense allows just 181.8 passing yards per game, look for Navarro to move the ball against the tough defense.

One of his main targets is Chase Hendricks, and he’s at a nice value of 84.5 yards. This is likely since he had just three catches for 40 yards against Miami (OH).

Before that, Hendricks had picked up at least 100 yards receiving in three straight games.

Our deep-ball SGP: Rumbling into the end zone

Broc Lowry, Western Michigan’s top TD producer, has rushed for at least one major in five of the last six games.

Meanwhile, Sieh Bangura leads the MAC with 10 rushing scores, including six in his last three. Look for him to lock up another against a WMU defense that’s allowed 11 rushing scores this year.

  • Chase Hendricks Over 84.5 receiving yards

Ohio vs Western Michigan game predictions

Ohio vs Western Michigan moneyline prediction

Ohio leads the MAC in rushing at over 200 yards per game, and is third in passing, and both were up to the challenge in the win over Miami, which ranks Top 4 defensively in both the run and pass. Ohio will win its fourth in five games against Western Michigan.

Ohio vs Western Michigan spread prediction

Western Michigan has allowed its most points in the last two weeks, surrendering 26 in a loss to Miami (OH) and 21 in a win over Central Michigan. Ohio should put up enough points to cover this meager spread.
