Notre Dame needs to get a win over Texas A&M this weekend to avoid an ugly 0-2 start. Our Week 3 moneyline picks suggest the Fighting Irish will do just that.

Expert Week 3 CFB moneyline picks

Colorado vs Houston: Houston (-205)

Coach Prime will turn to third-string quarterback Ryan Staub in Week 3, and the vibes aren’t great. Willie Fritz runs a no-nonsense program in Houston, and he’s won everywhere he’s been, so the next stop is 3-0.

Clemson vs Georgia Tech: Georgia Tech (+128)

No. 12 Clemson’s ballyhooed offense has massively disappointed (119th in EPA per play) and will need to quickly break out of its early-season slump to avoid a second loss on the young season. Brent Key thrives as an underdog and has a veteran roster playing at home, so this is a good time to catch Clemson.

Georgia vs Tennessee: Georgia (-184)

If I could fully trust the quarterback position, No. 6 Georgia might be my favorite to win it all this season. Kirby Smart has dominated this matchup, winning eight straight against Tennessee, and the Vols have a shaky quarterback situation and two injured starting cornerbacks.

Texas A&M vs Notre Dame: Notre Dame (-260)

Marcus Freeman will not let No. 8 Notre Dame slip too far after an excusable opening loss in Miami while breaking in a redshirt freshman quarterback. The Irish will be charged up after a bye week and are playing at home against No. 16 Texas A&M, whom they beat 23-13 on the road last season.

Florida vs LSU: (-280)

Billy Napier is probably a walking dead man after an upset loss to USF — the schedule is too unforgivable to have such slip-ups in the non-conference. No. 3 LSU holds one of the best wins of the season (at Clemson), has a star quarterback (Garrett Nussmeier), and a much-improved defense under Blake Baker, so there’s everything to love about this team.

Vanderbilt vs South Carolina: Vanderbilt (+162)

These two teams already have a common opponent in Virginia Tech, which No. 11 South Carolina beat 24-11 thanks to some special teams help, and Vanderbilt demolished 44-20. Vandy has been crushing it offensively (third in EPA per play) and has the third-most returning production in the country, so the results match the expectations of a veteran and improved bunch.

Arkansas vs Mississippi: Arkansas (+210)

This one might seem a little bit crazy, but it’s a good time for Sam Pittman and Arkansas to catch No. 17 Mississippi. Lane Kiffin’s Rebels were thoroughly unimpressive in Week 2’s win over Kentucky, and now starting quarterback Austin Simmons has an injury to pair with his turnover problems (three touchdowns compared to four interceptions).

South Florida vs Miami: Miami (-850)

This is no knock to USF, which has played fantastic ball to start the season by upsetting Boise State and Florida in back-to-back weeks. Still, No. 5 Miami is no joke, and the Hurricanes will move to 3-0 as they continue to place themselves as a College Football Playoff contender.
