The CFP National Championship Game features some great star power between the Indiana Hoosiers and the Miami Hurricanes.
But which star will strike first? My Miami vs. Indiana first touchdown picks break down my favorite bets to open the scoring in the Natty.

Miami first touchdown pick
CharMar Brown (+1700 at FanDuel)
I’m going with a bit of a long shot to score first for the Miami Hurricanes with backup running back CharMar Brown.
Miami has shown lots of confidence in Brown, giving him 42 touches in the last five games, and he’s rewarded them with four total touchdowns.
Indiana has an elite defense that doesn’t make many mistakes. So, it could mean long plodding drives for the Hurricanes in the Natty.
That means Mark Fletcher Jr. could do the heavy lifting for the majority of a drive before being spelled by Brown, who is +1700 to score first.

Indiana first touchdown pick
Elijah Sarratt (+600 at FanDuel)
Indiana Hoosiers wideout Elijah Sarratt has been the most productive player in the most dominant offense in college football this season.
Sarratt has scored 15 touchdowns this season and has found the end zone at least once in each of the last nine games he’s played.
While Miami has a strong defensive front, the secondary can be beaten if the Indiana line holds up and is prone to missing tackles at times. So it seems more like the Hoosiers get their first strike through the air.
Sarratt is the favorite to score first in this game, and I agree.
