Arkansas vs Mississippi best bet: Mike Washington Jr. Over 53.5 rushing yards (-114)
While opponent caliber must be considered, the most glaring thing that jumps out in this matchup is the Arkansas Razorbacks' ground attack against the Mississippi Rebels' rushing defense. I'm backing Mike Washington Jr. to take advantage of that in what amounts to a fairly pedestrian number.
Before we get into the numbers, the eye test is worth mentioning. I thought the Mississippi rush defense was quite disappointing last week against Kentucky.
The Wildcats were completely one-dimensional (starting QB Zach Calzada was 1-for-18 on 11+ yard passing plays at one point in the game), and the Rebels were still often pushed around. Behind an improved offensive line, Kentucky ran for 4.6 yards per carry and 172 yards.
It is the main contributing factor to Mississippi’s rushing defense EPA being ranked 119th nationally. And I think it may have some staying power.
To me, this is simple enough. The Rebels won’t be able to sell out and load the box against the Hogs' rushing attack, and some of the issues they had against Kentucky will be magnified.
Even against some low-level competition, I’ve seen enough to be sold on this Arkansas rushing attack being as nearly efficient as it is on paper.

We’re adding QB Taylen Green to reach the end zone to start our same-game parlay. Much of this analysis is the same as our best bet; Green just appears to be the more trusted ball-carrying option in the red zone.
I rounded it off with the first quarter Over. I expect the offenses to have the upper hand early, with Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin and Hogs’ offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino showcasing their early game script prowess.

For the long shot, we’ve rolled with Deuce Alexander to find paydirt. He has multiple ways to score, whether as a big-play threat in the passing game or through his carries on the ground. I especially like the value of the latter, with Arkansas showing early-season issues stopping explosive plays on the ground.
I wrapped things up with Arkansas to get the cover. As mentioned above, I think a touchdown is too much either way for these defenses.
