Week 2's slate of college football odds doesn't include much in the way of big-time matchups, but rather a plethora of sizable spreads for many of the nation's top teams.

We break down those top teams' chances and pick a side in our Week 2 ATS college football picks below.

Expert Week 2 CFB ATS picks

Iowa vs Iowa State (-2.5): Iowa State -2.5

Iowa State is off to a 2-0 start after taking down ranked Kansas State in Ireland, and get the Hawkeyes at home after winning 20-19 at Kinnick Stadium a year ago. Lay the number if it stays below a field goal.

FIU vs Penn State (-41.5): FIU +41.5

Penn State will win and win by a lot, but James Franklin's squad failed to cover as a 43.5-point favorite last week and may suffer a similar fate in Week 2.

San Jose State vs Texas (-35.5): San Jose State +35.5

San Jose State is certainly not Ohio State, but while Arch Manning will surely play better in Week 2, I'm not sure I can put a five-touchdown spread in his hands just yet.

Mississippi (-10.5) vs Kentucky: Mississippi -10.5

This is a Wildcats team that had 10 points through three quarters against Toledo in Week 1. Lay the number with Lane Kiffin.

Oklahoma State vs Oregon (-28.5): Oregon -28.5

Oregon easily covered this exact spread last week and seems hungry to prove it can keep dominating despite a lesser roster. I expect the Ducks to do just that in Week 2.

Michigan vs Oklahoma (-5.5): Oklahoma -5.5

Michigan needed four quarters to shed New Mexico 34-17 despite closing as a 34.5-point favorite. Not dissimilar to Arch Manning, Bryce Underwood will struggle in his first big road test as the SEC gets one back on the Big Ten.

Louisiana Tech vs LSU (-37.5): Louisiana Tech +37.5

Beating Clemson at Death Valley is no small feat, but I have some questions for those touting LSU as the No. 1 team in the country. This is an obvious letdown spot, and beyond that, the Tigers could be looking ahead to Florida next week, too.
