The Villanova Wildcats will look to get back on track with a road game against the Georgetown Hoyas. Villanova recently watched a six-game winning streak come to an end after losing to Marquette, 57-54.
Meanwhile, Georgetown currently looks like the worst team in the Big East. The Hoyas have lost their last five games and have allowed four of those five opponents to score at least 80 points.

Villanova vs Georgetown picks and predictions
Our predictions are compiled from the analysis of the spread and total and are indications of where we are leaning for this game.
Our best bet is the play that we like the most for this game, which we would actually put some of our bankroll behind.
The Villanova Wildcats are coming off a dud performance against Marquette. But most teams are having dud performances against Marquette. That’s a team nobody wants to face in March.
The Wildcats will be fine going up against Georgetown. The Hoyas have lost five straight games and lost to that same Marquette team by nearly 30 points, at home.
The Wildcats are shooting an effective field goal percentage of 51.4% while turning the ball over just 14.8% of the time. They’ve also earned 32.3% offensive rebounds on the year.
Also, Villanova should be really solid from 3-point range. The Wildcats have hit 35.6% of threes while Georgetown is allowing teams to shoot 35.6% from three this season.
The Hoyas are giving up an effective field goal percentage of 51.7% and really don’t force turnovers at a high rate. The Hoyas are doing a solid job keeping teams off the line and that shouldn’t change against Villanova. Still, the defense hasn’t been great.
Meanwhile, Villanova is ranked in the Top 20 in adjusted efficiency on the defensive end on KenPom. The Wildcats have allowed teams to shoot an eFG% of 46.7 while limiting teams to 30.8% from three and 47% from inside the arc on the season.
Just like Georgetown, Villanova limits the fouls very well and the Wildcats are allowing just 25.7% offensive rebounds.
If Georgetown wants any chance in this game, the Hoyas will need to rebound at a high rate and knock down their threes. The Hoyas average 34.7% offensive rebounds and 38.1% from three.
However, Villanova, as just pointed out, has done well on the defensive glass and has defended the three very well this season. If Villanova can take away Georgetown’s strengths, it’ll be a long day for the Hoyas.
Prediction: Villanova -13.5 (-110)
Georgetown averages 74.2 points per game but the Hoyas also give up 75.9 points. Don’t be surprised when Villanova scores 80 or more points tonight.
If Villanova scores 80 points in this game, all Georgetown will have to do is find a way to score 60 points to cash the Over.
So, while I don’t trust Georgetown all that much, I still believe it can contribute to the Over, knowing Villanova should be able to get 80 points in this game.
Prediction: Over 139.5 (-110)
The Wildcats are a special team this year. They are currently ranked in the Top 20 in both offensive and defensive efficiency via KenPom. Those rankings usually tell us a ton about a team.
Teams that usually go on to win NCAA Championships are in the Top 20 in both categories. Look for Villanova to crush Georgetown, even on the road today.
Georgetown has struggled shooting the ball and has been awful inside this year, which is odd knowing Patrick Ewing is the team’s head coach.
Pick: Villanova -13.5 (-110)
