Ben Humrichous has quietly become one of the Illinois Fighting Illini’s top contributors and is a perfect foil for the Oregon Ducks when these Big Ten schools clash tonight.

The 6-foot-9 senior can stretch the floor with his outside shooting and crash the glass for easy putbacks — a valuable skill set against a big Ducks lineup that can match the Illini’s size inside.

My Oregon vs. Illinois predictions call for Humrichous to make the most of his increased minutes and top his point prop tonight.

Oregon vs Illinois prediction

Oregon vs Illinois best bet: Ben Humrichous Over 7.5 points (+102)

Ben Humrichous is set to build on a growing role for the Illinois Fighting Illini.

The senior forward is drawing more minutes and making the most of it, averaging 8.4 points over the past nine contests while hitting double figures in five of those games.

Humrichous’ skill set is an ideal fit against the Oregon Ducks, who pack the interior but get roughed up from 3-point land. Oregon is also vulnerable on the boards, allowing offensive rebounds and second-chance buckets.

Game projections have Humrichous north of eight points, and he has been active from deep (5.5 3PA over his last nine games) while also chipping in with second-chance buckets.

Oregon vs Illinois same-game parlay

After getting thrashed by Michigan, all the talk in Champaign is about improving the Illini’s defense. Head coach Brad Underwood says he wants his guys to be “nastier,” and they have the size to slow down the Ducks inside.

Humrichous is starting to live up to the hype he earned moving from Evansville to Illinois. Over the past month, he’s been active from beyond the arc and has scored eight or more points in six of his last nine games while logging increased minutes.

David Mirkovic showed plenty of fight in the loss to UM, hauling in 10 rebounds. He’s averaging over seven per game, and with Oregon giving up too many offensive boards to opposing bigs, he’s projected for 7+ rebounds tonight.
