The St. John's Red Storm are back in the AP Top 25 after winning their fifth-straight game on the weekend.
That streak began with an 84-70 win on the road against the Butler Bulldogs. However, that contest wasn't nearly as one-sided as the final score would indicate.
The Bulldogs shot better than the Johnnies (57.3 eFG% to 55.3 eFG%) and hit more free throws while boasting a +6 rebounding margin. What made the difference was turnovers with St. John's turning the ball over just five times while forcing 21.
If the Bulldogs do a better job taking care of the ball, they will cover this big spread tonight. Given their recent play I think they'll be able to.
They are 3-0 SU and ATS in their last three games with two of those wins coming against Marquette and Seton Hall who, like St. John's, apply a ton of ball pressure.

Butler forward Michael Ajayi is fourth in the country with 11.5 rpg and has grabbed double-digit boards in 13 of 20 games. He'll get plenty of rebounding opportunities with the Johnnies playing at a fast pace.
