Rockets vs Celtics prediction

Rockets vs Celtics best betKevin Durant Over 25.5 points (-117)

Kevin Durant was acquired by the Houston Rockets in an offseason trade, and it’s no secret why. The veteran is still scoring the rock at a very high level, and he’s shown that early on in 2025-26. KD is averaging 27.5 points through four games.

Durant has cashed the Over in two of his last three contests, pouring in 31 points on Wednesday in a big victory over the Toronto Raptors. KD also scored 37 last week against the Detroit Pistons.

The Boston Celtics aren’t the same defensive force as the past, and they’re not exactly a title contender anymore. Plus, Durant can ball out against any team, no matter how good they may be. He dropped 30 on Boston last season in one meeting.

KD comes in well-rested, and I’ll take him to lead the way for Houston.

Rockets vs Celtics same-game parlay

With Tatum likely out for the year, that means Jaylen Brown is the top option for the C’s. He’s had no issues stepping up to the plate and occupying that role through six games, averaging 27.7 PPG. The University of California product led Boston to a 109-108 win in the NBA Cup on Friday, scoring 32 points.

In fact, he’s cashed the Over in points in three of his last four appearances, balling out for 30+ in those contests. In one matchup with the Rockets last season, Brown erupted for 28 points.

Houston has one two straight games after an 0-2 start, and they come in on two days of rest. While Boston is riding a three-game winning streak themselves, they’re just 1-1 at home, and the Celtics are on the tail-end of a back-to-back.
