Favorites to win the Drydene 400

Martin Truex Jr. is the betting favorite to win the Drydene 400 at +350. Truex Jr. is coming off a victory at Darlington and finished sixth at Kansas the week before. He also has a strong recent track record at Dover, with one victory and three second-place finishes in his last four races there.

Kyle Larson (+400) had an ugly stretch of posting consecutive 18th, 40th and 19th-place finishes, but snapped that with a second-place last weekend and is the second favorite at Dover. Larson only participated in four races in 2020 (due to suspension) and did not race at Dover last year, but he did win his last event here in 2019—and also posted a third-place finish in the spring race.

Denny Hamlin is the overall points leader and notched a win at the first Dover event last year, and he sits third on the betting board at +600, while Kyle Busch and Chase Elliott round out the Top 5 at +800.

How to bet on NASCAR

The most popular way to bet on NASCAR is by simply picking the winner of a race, which is also referred to as an outright. There are plenty of other ways to wager, including betting on whether or not a driver will finish in the Top 3 or Top 10 of a race.

Another popular betting option is head-to-head matchup betting, where sportsbooks pair up two drivers and you choose who you think will finish better in the race, which is far easier than trying to select someone to win out of a field of approximately 40 drivers.
