Tigers vs Guardians prediction

Tigers vs Guardians best bet: Tigers moneyline (+105)

The Detroit Tigers have not been playing their best baseball over the last week. They’ve lost seven in a row, getting swept by the Cleveland Guardians before the Braves also brought out the brooms. The Guards then took the series opener on Tuesday.

However, it’s only a matter of time until a team as good as the Tigers ends the skid, and tonight feels like a clear chance to do so.

Jack Flaherty has been pitching well, allowing just one earned run across his last two outings. Detroit has also had success against Cleveland starter Tanner Bibee, batting .263 across 133 at-bats.

AJ Hinch’s group has won four of the last five meetings on the road with the Guardians, sweeping them at Progressive Field back in May. I’ll take the Tigers to get back on track and regain their winning ways as the playoffs quickly approach.

Tigers vs Guardians same-game parlay (SGP)

Flaherty has a 4.60 ERA and an 8-14 record this season, but that doesn’t tell the whole story. He’s had some quality outings and simply didn’t get run support. The righty has cashed the Under in earned runs allowed in three of his last four appearances, even holding the Guardians to one earned run last week.

Despite the Tigers’ losing ways at the moment, Gleyber Torres is raking. He’s logged a total base in four of his previous five games, including three multi-hit games. Torres is also 5-for-12 lifetime against Bibee with a pair of doubles.

Meanwhile, Jose Ramirez is batting .282 and continues to produce. He’s in the midst of a six-game hitting streak, and Ramirez is 6-for-25 in his career against Flaherty. Let's throw him in to close things out.

Tigers vs Guardians SGP

  • Tigers moneyline
  • Jack Flaherty Under 2.5 earned runs
  • Gleyber Torres Over 0.5 total bases
  • Jose Ramirez Over 0.5 hits
