The AL East has looked short of its ultra-competitive best this season, with only the New York Yankees consistently hitting their stride, but there are signs that we’re heading for a tighter race with the Tampa Bay Rays and Toronto Blue Jays on the charge.
My MLB player props target that division tonight, including two pitchers on opposite paths this season. Read on for my top MLB picks for the June 10 slate.

MLB props for June 10
George Springer Over 1.5 total bases (+120 at Caesars)
The 2025 George Springer bounce-back tour is back on again after a tough stretch in May, and he added an RBI double in the Toronto Blue Jays’ win over the St. Louis Cardinals last night.
Looking more like the dangerous hitter who blasted his way through the opening weeks of the season, Springer enters tonight on a five-game hitting streak. He’s getting value for the contact too, with two of his last five hits leaving the ballpark and two more resulting in doubles.
I like the Over on 1.5 total bases for Springer here, especially in a matchup against Cardinals starter Miles Mikolas. He’s 4-for-9 in his prior battles with Mikolas, including a solo homer, and the St. Louis veteran has coughed up 17 hits across his past two outings.
Springer’s splits confirm he’s done plenty of damage against righties this year, with 14 of his 15 doubles coming off right-handers. He’s been at the heart of Toronto’s best offensive stretches, and he’s well placed to provide a spark at Busch Stadium tonight.
Max Fried Under 5.5 hits allowed (-105 at bet365)
After dropping a pair of games to the Boston Red Sox while allowing 21 runs, the New York Yankees will be relieved to have ace Max Fried on the bump tonight as they visit the Kansas City Royals.
Fried is 8-1 this season with a 1.78 ERA and a 0.94 WHIP, and I expect him to dominate a Kansas City lineup that only managed 10 runs in a disappointing weekend series against the Chicago White Sox.
The Under on 5.5 hits allowed jumps out as a value pick, with the New York lefty cashing that prop in nine of his last 11 starts. He was lights-out in Thursday’s 4-0 victory over the Cleveland Guardians, allowing just a single hit in six terrific innings of work while striking out seven.
The Royals have some talented hitters but they rank 27th in total runs this season, and I see Fried getting the upper hand here.
Lucas Giolito Over 2.5 earned runs allowed (-125 at bet365)
Unlike Fried, the Boston Red Sox’s Lucas Giolito has served up a wildly erratic season so far on the road with a 6.42 ERA through seven outings. He was chased from last Wednesday’s start after just 1 2/3 innings as the Los Angeles Angels racked up seven early runs.
Giolito has now allowed 6+ earned runs three times in 2025, and I see the Tampa Bay Rays adding to his woes here, with the Over on 2.5 earned runs standing out as an attractive prop.
The Rays scored 10 runs in last night’s extra-innings win at Fenway Park, with Jake Mangum, Yandy Diaz, and Jonathan Aranda combining for eight hits. That’s ominous for Giolito, who just hasn’t looked like the same pitcher since leaving the Chicago White Sox in 2023.
With Giolito giving up a .347 batting average to righties this year, I’m counting on the Tampa Bay hitters cashing in to take some of the headlines away from Roman Anthony’s arrival in the big leagues.
