The defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers will visit the Toronto Blue Jays for Game 1 of the World Series at the Rogers Centre on Friday, October 24.

My top MLB picks and Dodgers vs. Blue Jays predictions expect Los Angeles starter Blake Snell to play a leading role in a convincing victory for The Boys in Blue in the series opener.

Our best Dodgers vs Blue Jays SGP for Game 1

I have full confidence in Los Angeles Dodgers starter Blake Snell turning in a gem in Game 1. He posted an elite 2.35 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 3.09 xFIP during the regular season with even better 0.86, 0.52 and 1.77 marks across a trio of playoff starts, after all.

Additionally, Snell has held Toronto Blue Jays stars Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to a pedestrian .630 OPS, and George Springer to a .655 mark, and they’re the only two Jay Birds who have faced him double-digit times.

In the opposite dugout, the Dodgers were third in wOBA and fourth in ISO against right-handed pitchers during the regular season.

Obviously, while the Game 1 starter for the Blue Jays hasn’t been announced, I’m giving the pitching edge to Los Angeles in the series opener regardless of who toes the rubber for Toronto.

Turning to the additional legs of this same-game parlay, Dodgers superstars Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts have both had solid postseasons with respective .375 and .353 wOBAs, with Ohtani recording six extra-base hits, and Betts checking in with five.

I also value Betts having 84 games of postseason experience, while Ohtani is up to 26 and a climbing .848 OPS across 124 plate appearances.

Note if there is an applicable parlay boost available.
