My Cubs vs Yankees best bet: Yankees moneyline (-154 at FanDuel)

While both teams are strong, the New York Yankees offense is on another level. Entering today, the Yankees outrank the Chicago Cubs in on-base percentage, slugging percentage, OPS and home runs.

Not only does New York possess the stronger lineup, but it also boasts left-hander Max Fried taking the mound. Fried remains in the conversation for the AL Cy Young Award, sporting an 11-2 record with a 2.27 ERA and 0.96 WHIP.

The southpaw's underlying metrics are equally impressive, with Fried sitting in the 72nd percentile or higher in xERA, average exit velocity, barrel rate and hard-hit rate.

In six meetings against the Cubs, Fried is a spotless 6-0 with a commanding 1.18 ERA and 0.86 WHIP.

Meanwhile, Matthew Boyd takes the mound for Chicago. and the Yankees flaunt a .316 xBA and 538 xSLG through 36 combined plate appearances against him.

Back the Bronx Bombers to secure another win on home field.
