The Minnesota Twins host the Milwaukee Brewers in the opener of a three-game set at Target Field tonight, and I expect a low-scoring result.

Minny has rolling righty Joe Ryan toeing the rubber, while Milwaukee is counting with hot-shot rookie Jacob Misiorowski.

Here are my top MLB picks for Friday, June 20.

Brewers vs Twins prediction

My Brewers vs Twins best bet: Under 8 (-110 at bet365)

Minnesota Twins starter Joe Ryan has spun it to the tune of a 2.93 ERA and 0.90 WHIP, and he’s allowed three runs or fewer in seven of his past nine starts with respective 2.38 and 0.87 marks.

The wind is also forecasted to be blowing in at Target Field, and the Milwaukee Brewers also have exciting rookie Jacob Misiorowski toeing the rubber after pitching five scoreless innings in his big-league debut.

Minnesota is a middling 13th in wOBA and 14th in ISO against right-handed hurlers, and Milwaukee ranks even lower with respective 23rd and 24th ranks.

Both clubs lack punch in the lower half of their lineups, and the Minny bullpen paces MLB in bullpen xFIP. Plus, both the Brewers and Twins have trended to the Under.

I also value shops dropping this total to 7.5, so we’re landing a good number with the -110 odds.

Brewers vs Twins same-game parlay (SGP)

Under 8.5

Christian Yelich Over 1.5 runs + hits + RBI

Jacob Misiorowski Over 4.5 strikeouts

Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich has hit the Over in this market in three consecutive games, and he sports a high-end .380 wOBA, .209 ISO, and .887 OPS against right-handed arms since the beginning of the 2023 campaign.

Turning to the final leg of this same-game parlay, Misiorowski has swing-and-miss stuff and a triple-digit fastball. He fanned five across five innings in his debut against St. Louis, and the 23-year-old righty posted an excellent 11.37 K/9 and 27.8 K% in the minors this season.
