Saudi Arabia has no answers for a fully loaded Spanish attack. With Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams back on the wings, expect Spain’s dynamic duo to completely tear apart the defense and put on a clinic tonight.

Group H is all square with all four teams level on points, meaning that Spain and Saudi Arabia’s meeting in Atlanta is even more important for both team’s World Cup odds.

There’s no way around it, the Spaniards were bad in their opener but my Spain vs. Saudi Arabia predictions expect a much improved performance and the Spanish taking home all three points.

Read on for my World Cup picks for Sunday, June 21 with kickoff at 12 p.m. ET on FOX.

 TOP PICK
Who will win Spain vs Saudi Arabia: Spain -2.5 (+101)

Cape Verde was a gimme for Spain but Spain couldn’t score and the game finished 0-0 in the World Cup’s first major shock. The lack of creativity was concerning for Spain and despite having 23 shots their xG (expected goals) was only 2.19.

However, things will be improved here, with the team welcoming back Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal to the starting lineup.

These two will be game changers and we saw in Spain’s Euro 2024 win how deadly they can be. Both players are far more direct than those that they’re replacing and their ability to beat their opposite number and create mismatches is something that will result in goals here.

Spain did look better when both players came on during the last game and over the course of 90 minutes, with a few days added chance to get healthy, it’ll be decisive.

Saudi Arabia worked hard against Uruguay in their 1-1 draw but they had just 35% possession and you’d expect that number to be even lower against a team of Spain’s quality. They will try a low block to stop the threat of Spain’s wide players but once one goal goes in, they’ll collapse.

 TOp pick

Spain vs Saudi Arabia Over/Under pick: Over 3.5 goals (+119)

So backing Over 2.5 goals is terrible value here, so we’re taking the Over on 3.5, but confidence on this isn’t as high as on backing Spain -2.5, which are for the most part based on the same reasoning.

Saudi Arabia might be able to get a goal on the counter but it feels unlikely, instead we’re banking on Spain’s attacking talent to be the difference maker.

Working in our favor for the Over is that Group H is all square and Spain will want to put a number of goals past Saudi Arabia, not only to improve their goal difference, which could end up playing a part, but also because they need to work their way into form and make a statement after the embarrassment of their last game.

Also giving us an advantage towards seeing goals are the conditions inside the dome, which will be cool, meaning we should see the Spanish able to play at the level we see from them usually.
