The scorching-hot Milwaukee Brewers are looking for a road sweep over the Atlanta Braves and ace Spencer Strider at Truist Park on Wednesday, August 6.

Strider is returning to All-Star form, and my Brewers vs. Braves predictions and top MLB picks are calling for the lefty to hold the Milwaukee lineup in check in a low-scoring game tonight.

Brewers vs Braves prediction

My Brewers vs Braves best bet: Under 8 (-107 at Pinnacle)

Atlanta Braves star Spencer Strider is beginning to find top form again with a sterling 2.91 ERA, 3.15 xFIP, and 31.1 K% while allowing three runs or fewer in each of his past nine starts.

He’ll be in tough against the rolling Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday, as the Brew Crew are sporting the highest BABIP in baseball alongside the fifth-lowest barrel percentage across the past 30 days. Still, I’m expecting a solid outing from Strider.

Milwaukee veteran Jose Quintana has also turned back the clock with a 3.50 ERA, and while his underlying 4.80 xFIP calls for tougher times ahead, I’m expecting him to keep the Atlanta lineup off balance enough to do his part Wednesday. The Braves sport a middling 15th-ranked wOBA against lefties, after all.

Plus, both teams have trended to the Under, with Milwaukee going Under the number in 61 of its past 109 games overall, and Atlanta hitting the Under in 25 of its past 43 home games.

Brewers vs Braves same-game parlay (SGP)

Under 8

Spencer Strider Under 6.5 strikeouts

Jurickson Profar Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI

One of the reasons the Brewers are rolling is because they’re not striking out. Milwaukee has the fourth-lowest strikeout percentage over the past 30 days and against lefties for the season.

Strider has also fanned six or fewer batters in three of his past six starts, and this strikeout Under is a nice multiplier to boost the odds of this same-game parlay.

Turning to Braves outfielder Jurickson Profar, he’s posted a .374 wOBA, .210 ISO and .878 OPS against lefties over the past two seasons. I also value that he’s been in the leadoff spot of the Atlanta lineup in each of his past 19 games.
