Blue Jays Picks, Predictions & Best Bets for ALCS Game 3 on October 15

George Springer is about the only Blue Jays bat that hasn't gone dormant vs. the Mariners, and we like the leadoff man to again swing a hot bat against Seattle SP George Kirby.

The ALCS flips to the Pacific Northwest as the Seattle Mariners host the Toronto Blue Jays for Game 3 of the series.

The Jays need offense to get back into the series, and I expect George Springer to help spark Toronto’s offense.

Blue Jays ALCS Game 3 best bet: Hope Springer's eternal

George Springer Over 1.5 total bases (+130 at BET99)

It’s been a rough series offensively for the Toronto Blue Jays, who have only scored four runs combined in the first two games of the ALCS.

That will need to change tonight if the Jays want to get back into this series.

One bat that hasn’t cooled, however, is George Springer's.

He’s the only Blue Jay hitter with at least one hit in both games and has gone over his listed bases prop (1.5) each time. In fact, he’s gone over his bases total in four of his last five games this postseason.

Additionally, he’s had success against Seattle Mariners starter George Kirby, going 3-for-8 against him.

Kirby throws a healthy dose of three different pitches: the four-seam fastball, a sinker, and a slider. He throws each 25-30% of the time.

Springer has proven to be a good fastball hitter this season, batting .305 against the four-seamer with a .667 slug rate. However, he’s been an excellent sinker-ball hitter, with a .375 average and a .693 expected slug rate.

Based on Kirby's pitching splits this season, he should see one of those pitches in at least 60% of his bats, and there’s a good chance he clobbers it for extra bases.

Today’s Blue Jays Game 3 same-game parlay (SGP)

George Springer Over 1.5 total bases

George Springer Over 0.5 runs

Shane Bieber Over 4.5 strikeouts

Springer has crossed home plate in three straight games and has scored six times in six playoff games, coming after scoring a team high 104 times through the regular season.

Finally, I’ll take the Over of 4.5 strikeouts for Shane Bieber. The Mariners have struck out 25 times in two games so far, and Bieber has averaged 4.62 strikeouts since returning from his Tommy John injury.

Additionally, the Jays should be willing to let Bieber go deep to preserve the bullpen. The deeper he goes, the more chances he has to rack up the Ks.
