After racking up 11 strikeouts in his dominant playoff debut against the Yankees, Blue Jays right-hander Trey Yesavage will do more of the same in his encore against the Mariners tonight.

After the offense dried up in Game 1, the Toronto Blue Jays will host the Seattle Mariners for Game 2 of the ALCS today at the Rogers Centre.

Trey Yesavage dazzled in his postseason debut last week with 11 strikeouts, and I expect him to rack up the Ks again against a swing-happy lineup.

Blue Jays ALCS Game 2 best bet: Yesavage's garden

Trey Yesavage Over 5.5 strikeouts (-110 at BET99)

Toronto Blue Jays rookie right-hander Trey Yesavage has been remarkable through four major league appearances, going 2-0 with a 2.33 ERA with 27 strikeouts in those outings.

The strikeouts are the most impressive statistic there, considering he’s averaging an impressive 6.75 Ks per game with his incredible swing-and-miss stuff.

His chase rate is among the highest in the league, as is his 35.4% whiff rate — so Yesavage should give this Seattle Mariners lineup fits tonight.

The Mariners ranked 28th with a 27.5% whiff rate and 23rd in strikeout rate through the regular season and have struck out at a 27.8% clip through the postseason, including 11 times in Game 1 against Toronto.

Additionally, the Mariners' strikeout rate against the splitter is 31.4%. Yesavage's put-away pitch has garnered a 54.7% whiff rate and has been nearly unhittable, with a .111 opponent batting average.

Today’s Blue Jays Game 2 same-game parlay (SGP)

Trey Yesavage Over 5.5 strikeouts

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 1.5 total bases

George Springer Over 0.5 hits

I'm betting on a bounce-back game from Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

He went hitless in Game 1, but has been swinging a red-hot bat in this postseason. The Jays slugger is also 6-for-15 against Mariners starter Logan Gilbert, with four extra-base hits and a .933 slug rate against him.

George Springer has hit Gilbert well throughout his career. too, sporting a 1.020 OPS with three extra base hits.
