when you get banned how long does the ban last?

Covers seems to make aome very strange choices as far as banning someone goes.

Contrary to popular opinion, covers would not ban someone for "posting winners", especially 6-0.
If that were the case, covers would ban the leaders of the survivor streak...
My guess is he had an IP address of someone who used to post on covers...
Or, and I have no proof of this, he may have been contacting people to sell picks outside of covers. (again, I have no proof, and I am not accusing)

I finally read the covers manifesto and its likely they decided his "fix threads" were "morally offensive". He was not promoting himself or going tout in anyway. you can see in his posts he says anyone who wants to send him money should spend it on their families instead. He was overwelmed with friend requests and he wrote that he didnt want any compensation just an oppurtunity to share his information. My PERSONAL guess is that one or more of Covers' sportsbook advertisers got raped in the butthole from his 6 gems. Big business will do anything to keep their advantage over the little guys it works that way in everything unfortunately. They have succeeded in making Serkov a martyr. DOWN WITH THE MAN. BETTER TO FIGHT FOR A RIGHTEOUS CAUSE THAN TO GIVE IN TO THE POWERS THAT FIGHT SO HARD TO CONTROL US. ::::end of rant::::

My guess is he pissed off the bible thumpers that now run this site because he was getting too popular and obviously had information on fixed games that the book burners that censor this site didn't want people to see.
There's also a few clowns in the soccer forum who couldn't pick a winner if they had the next day's paper that didn't like all the attention he was getting.
All Serkov has to do is sign up with a different email address, change his posting name and fire away again. That's what everyone else does. I know guys that have signed up for this site twenty or thirty times.
covers.com is still a good site but over the past few months has been going steadily downhill.

just red the rules and there is only one violation causing immediate ban
5) If you have been previously banned from our forum and return under a new alias username to cause garbage, you will be banned immediately
any other violation get u into penalty box at first,

They didn't ban him because he was winning you idiots...
Do you have any idea the legal ramification for covers if they were seen to be match fixing in the modern football game.
I will miss his tips too but the fact is he dug his own grave by using the word 'Fixed', this implies that football is corupt and covers could face serious punishment for match fixing, like being sent to jail etc. It has happened before, match fixing is illegal and many investigations have resulted in jail time.
You should thank covers for banning him because if someone from UEFA or FIFA were to see his posts they would brand the whole website illegal and then you wouldn't even have covers to begin with.
its his own fault for using the word 'Fixed', that was thy he was banned, not because he was winning, Im currently following tips on college sports in america and one of the tipsters there is on a 15-0 run, why has he not been banned, because he isn't breaking the law

i loved serkov but he probably wasnt sitting in some shady eastern block gambling hall with shady guys coming in with suitcases full of money....you can tell this by his attempt to try to write stuff pretending he was from russia or wherever ...he was more likely a guy on a great roll coming here and giving his picks out...remember not to lose...never to win outright.....which alot did anyways......hope he gets back on again and we can ride him still
