La now coming off 2 straight losses, will bounce back here. Kind of like Chi yesterday, Lakers have had their way with GS in recent past. This is a team that they are trying to catch for the playoffs. Lakers find a way to get another victory here in GS.

Denver well, ride the train through this brief spot and continue onto next game with streak still intact. NO comes in on 2 days rest scoring 88 and 1-8 ats . Den on 1 day rest scoring 206. I don't think it matters what either allow on those days, those 2 numbers = den ats victory tonight. Could be a tough game for NO to hold their head up at half time.

I like the pick a lot. I think the line is begging for a Warriors play, as they have been playing well lately and emotional betters are probably done with the Lakers at this point.

Lakers bettors probably feel similar to how I feel when I see an opportunity here for the Wizards tonight, lol.

Maybe we can put our differences aside for the night.  I'm not a girl, I won't catch feelings from a one night stand with an ex!

The wizards may very well be the possible play here tonight. Memphis has struggled a little bit over their last 5-6 games where the wizards have been playing really good ball lately and especially at home.

With such a low line on Memphis, I'm sure the books will get plenty of bets favouring them simply because that's an easy # to cover.

Denver is the flavor of the day in the West. No doubt about it.  Having said that, I wouldn't lay any dough on them until they win a playoff series.  I'm still not convinced Nugs could take out the Clips or Grizz in the opening round home or away.

I was hoping they would go into a slump at some point to catch the 1100 area for $100 Would make the games very interesting. I had a nice bet like this on the Ravens reaching the Superbowl. Paid very handsomely- As my superbowl matches were Pats - GB Pats 49ers Ravens - 49ers laid a few bucks on each out come hit the big one with the Ravens- I know the are long shots but not too bad to lay a little money.

Turbo, With the playoff implications tonight between Atlanta, Indy and the total, what's your thoughts on the under tonight? I see Atlanta hanging around tonight and making this a game coming down to final minute.

I was looking at this line and it's a bit Fishy- people always seem to think that BULLS PACERS MEMPHIS games will always be unders. When l looked at this line this morning the first thing that went into my mind was how much the Hawks have been scoring and if they will be able to keep up the pace- they have scored over 93 pts in their last 7 games I think- against the pacers ...

In their last two meetings defense did not exists. The Hawks are flying high now and my leans on this would be take the points on the Haws (remember I always buy 2 pts) and the Over. I am starting to play more totals now because I with the extreme help of Matt want to keep honing the 2H betting style (would not really call it a system at least not yet) and this allows for hedging and or doubling on bets.

Quickly looking at the games today.

MIA ORL - like the under 100 1H and 198.5 for the game. ORL will be completely depleted. No Vucevic, Afflalo is huge. They scored 198 and 193 in the first 2 games against each other. Turk might be back after a long game, so they will have to adjust. I don't see ORL being able to score much here at all and MIA has been starting slow. MIA -12.5 looks good too though.

ATL IND over 186 looks interesting. Trends definitely point that way. The first match up only saw 175 points but it was in the beginning of the season and ATL didn't play as well.  In the last 2 games between these 2 teams, they scored 209 and 217, way above posted 185 opening line.

WAS MEM - I will stay from ATS here as it seems too fishy, but the under 182 looks interesting. 161 points in the only match up between these two and no Gasol tonight for MEM.  Refs seems to have a good under record as well. And there are a few good under trends as well.

DEN NO - I jumped on DEN -6.5 early. Lawson should be back, Vasquez is out. DEN is motivated to keep the streak going. And while they haven't been that good on the road, NO doesn't do well against run and gun teams in my opinion. I don't see them keeping up, especially without Vasquez.

UTA PHI - I will probably stay away from this one and will monitor the line, but I do like PHI to cover 7.5. Sixers have been playing a lot better lately, while Utah seems to be giving up on the season, going 2-8 SU in the last 10.

LAL GS - not touching it right now. Lakers are too unpredictable. I will track the line movement, but nothing here right now.

Utah coming in off a road loss are 7-1 Su/ 6-2 ats in next home game. Avg margin of victory in those games being 10.5 pts. Utah 5-0 Si 4-1 ats vs Philly last 5 times in Utah.

Turbo I know you are going to want the stats (I'm working and also trying to work on it lol), but it points under in this situation.  There is a higher success rate when the home team is favored by 7+...

Both Pacers and Hawks are playing 3 in 4, which I think could slow down the game a little.  Pacers played Friday and Saturday before having last night off, so I think they have the fresher legs and take this game fairly easily suggesting Under.

Both of us like to assist...

    Hello all,

I just started reading this thread the other day and went back a ways to read through the analysis, etc (not all 10,000 posts!).  I also took a play yesterday (and won) which was nice.  I really like the analysis, especially the write up on the under SAC yesterday.  That was superb.

I hope that you guys continue to offer insight when time allows as this really helps the guys, like me, who are a bit more a novice at betting NBA.  I think I'll jump on the bandwagon and ride a little while and we'll see what happens.  Hopefully the streak continues.

I think the only thing that was frustrating about the thread was how much airplay was given to Trolls.  If you don't respond, they'll just go away.  They are exactly like children.  Ignore their antics and they get bored.  (If you must respond, just type "TROLL" and everyone will understand why you aren't responding to whatever baiting tactic they are using at that point.

That being said, I will admit that I sometimes find myself on the phone with telemarketers and go around and around with them for pure entertainment purposes.  (Keep quoting them unrealistic prices that they didn't say and insisting they said it....Pretend to put them on hold while I have a fake conference with my dog....make up ridiculously long stories that go nowhere but keep telling them "you've to hear this part.."  So, I do understand that it can sometimes be fun to laugh at the children (read Trolls/telemarketers) while they are doing whatever attention grabbing antic is on their mind.  However, they eventually start to repeat themselves and the convo/behavior simply degrades into name calling from their side.  So, I would say that after a response or two, just ignore them.  They are children after all.  I will set the example and regardless of whatever inanity a Troll potentially says after this post, I will pretend their post doesn't exist and will look past it (can you Ignore people on this site?).

Keep up the great work guys.  Thanks!!

    1. Magic +13
    2. Hornets +7
    3. Jazz -7

1.The Heat are way overvalued due to their winning streak. They haven't covered in three of their last four games overall with the only exception being last night at home over the league worst Charlotte Bobcats last night. This also means Miami will be a little tired heading into this contest with the Magic. They will be playing the second of a back to back and its 6th game in 9 days. Orlando comes in on two days rest having last played on Friday in an 89-97 home loss to OKC as a 14 point underdog. Both meetings this years between Miami and Orlando have been decided by a total of 3 points. And I came across a crazy stat, which I don't know if it means much but the Heat haven't won by more than 10 points in Orlando since 2004. I'm rolling with Orlando getting 13.

    2. The Denver Nuggets are way overvalued tonight as a road favorite over the Hornets. They are getting way too much respect from oddsmakers due to their franchise record 15 game winning streak. Denver has showed signs of being overvalued in its last two games. They beat Philadelphia 101-100 on Thursday as a large favorite and Sacramento 101-95 on Saturday as an big favorite. The Nuggets are just 17-19 on the road this season and have no business even being favored by 7 in this one. New Orleans has been pretty hot of late. They have won their last two games over Boston and over Memphis. Also they have had two days of rest since that win over the Grizzlies so they'll be fresh and ready to go tonight. I'm rolling with them NO boys.

3.The Utah Jazz will be motivated for a win tonight as they host the 76ers. Im expecting a blowout victory because of it. The Jazz trail the Lakers by two games for the 8th spot in the West and that means they cant afford to take any nights off. The 76ers are in a complete opposite position and are certainly fatigued as this will be their 4th road game in 6 days out on the West Coast. The Jazz are 24-9 at home and are 13-2 last 15 home games versus the 76ers. I'm rolling with Utah by double digits.

Love the first and last picks :)
NO beat Boston and Memphis yes. Boston subpar team on rd and Mem only 50-50 as of late. Den has had some close ones. However saying Den doesn't deserve respect ? Really? I think any team walking out of OKC with our heads high after a win earns any team respect. I really think this is a 20 pt win tonight for Den. Glty
