    The rumor coming into today's match was that Paolini is feeling ill and her complete lack of energy out there seems to confirm that. She also stopped Sab's service motion towards the end to let out a nasty sounding cough.

    Just something to keep an eye on. Her game is all about hustling to get to balls and if she can't do that (as was the case today) she's cooked.

    @monkeebooger

     Yeah, I didn't think Gauff looked that great today either but Paolini doesn't have much to offer here unfortunately. She has the flu and has put up very little resistance in both of her matches and was bad in her doubles match yesterday too. I will be looking to fade the Italians tomorrow against KuderMerts. If Paolini loses her doubles match I wouldn't be surprised if she withdraws from her last singles match.

    Keys is apparently sick as well.

    Rybakina was just dominant in those last two sets against Iga. Probably the most impressive thing was that things weren't working for her in the first set but she switched up her strategy a bit after that and killed it. I still think she is the likely champion here.

    That being said, she plays a meaningless match tomorrow (other than $350k) against Keys. Also possible that Keys withdraws with illness which would likely bring in Andreeva or if not Alexandrova. We have recent evidence of how Rybakina behaves once something is clinched (Tokyo withdrawal) so you have to at least consider taking the underdog since Rybakina certainly won't want to get into a slugfest as she prepares for the semis. It may not take too much effort to beat Keys though. If it ended up being Alexandrova I would hammer her but I don't think it will be. If Keys withdraws I think the alternate would be Andreeva unless Paolini withdraws first and then Keys withdraws.

    Last year Gauff and Sabalenka had both clinched spots in the semis before their last match and both of them lost. Krej was fighting for her life to advance against Gauff so that was understandable but Sabalenka had nothing to gain and she lost 1-6 in the third set to Rybakina. Rybakina had lost both of her previous matches but in that third set Sabalenka only mustered 9 total points won so she wasn't even trying obviously.

    Stakusic is definitely worth a look in Austin against Dolehide.

    Stak has somewhat been on a heater ever since she scored us that upset win over Ostapenko a couple months back. And Dolehide has been struggling bad. A couple weeks ago I watched her lose to world #775. She does tend to play her best tennis in the US but the aforementioned loss was in the US as well. I am sure she is desperate for points before the Aussie Open rolls around but I don't think she's a player to put any faith in when she's in desperation mode.

I am sure she is desperate for points before the Aussie Open rolls around but I don't think she's a player to put any faith in when she's in desperation mode.

    Dolehide was atrocious again as expected. These thin cards are much easier when they gift you auto fade players like Dolehide, Parks, and Avanesyan.

    Mark your calendars for Thanksgiving week when all three of these players are slated to play a 125 clay event in Argentina.

    Avanesyan has been dealing with a lingering shoulder injury and hasn't played at a decent level since early spring. Parks and Dolehide have not played on clay since Roland Garros. Parks will be the top seed too. Most of the other girls in these tournaments play on clay all year long. So when Parks gets matched up against some local ball girl who was handed a wildcard don't even try to analyze it. Just blindly take the +500 or whatever it is.

     Yeah and you know I back the Italians more than anybody and I pretty much never bet against them. But Kudermetova is a no-brainer play for me tomorrow.

    Agree, Paolini has been sick all week.

    What do you think of Keys? I think she will cover +5.5, Rybakina already winner of the group, we saw last year both Sabalenka and Gouff did tank their 3rd match after winning the group.

    @Bjorn_Borg

     Now it's Alexandrova. I really like her at +182. She would put up resistance under normal circumstances but on a day like today I don't really see Rybakina having the fight in her to win. I will be shocked if Rybakina goes out there and keeps redlining like she has been. No reason to.

    I saw that, but haven't seen any odds drop on Alexandrova yet, but +182 sounds really good.

    She will get $250,000 to play the match as an alternative and will get another $350,000 if she wins, so very motivated here. Leads 3-2 in the h2h, think her to win 2-0 could be good as well, don't think Rybakina want to play 3 sets before a semi.

    What do you think of Musetti 2-0 + Virtanen?

    Musetti can still reach the final only a few points behind Felix, so he need a deep run here in Athens. Not sure how Wawrinka won the last match, Only won 47% of the total points, only won 19% return of first serve vs 31% from VSZ, can't see him break Musetti, so he will have to win in TB, his 3 last loses have all been 2-0 as well.

    Virtanen playing back in his hometown in Finland, Onclin with a 1/6 indoor record this year. Virtanen has 125/51 in total indoor record, 8/4 this year (23/4 last year) can't see him lose in the first round.
