Opening Game Favorite Chase 246-7 for 2009

Guys, not trying to be shady, but I just got home from work.  The ATL series was obviously a play going off at -210.  I played it and hopefully everyone else did also.  My work schedule is going to be very hectic and unfortunately covers is blocked there.  I think everyone has a good grasp of the system by now.  If it seems I missed something I probably have, please feel free to post it as a play.  Pretty straighforward.  If a series opens -145 or higher or ends -150 or higher it is a play.

Guys kkirby99 got me thinking about the PSIC method of Labouchere and why it may not be effective.  According to Wiki:

If a player were to play the Labouchere System the same way with the exception being that the player always added half of the wager lost to the bottom of the list twice for every wager lost the player would actually have to win in excess of 50% of the time in order to complete the list, or more than the player could actually be expected to win..  The reason this is so is because the player is adding two numbers (which both will be crossed out in the event of wins where only one loss was sustained.)

Im thinking we should decrease our unit size to 1/3 of our original size and play all the games using a SINGLE line Labouchere. This way we would only need to hit 33.34% to eventually complete the list.

Thoughts??

Might be a good idea.  Personally, I play this more aggressive and only add a new line when I lose a series.  So, I add half on line 1 and half on line 2, but instead of adding a new number I add that to the last number in the line.  Simple example

5-5-5-5

5-5-5-5

5-5-5-5               say we bet 15 to win 10 on a game 1 play my lines would go to

5-5-5-12.5

5-5-5-12.5

5-5-5-5

This can get you playing higher amounts pretty quickly but I believe it avoids the problem you are alluding to..  The only time I add a new number is when I lose a game 3, but I think a single line could be a good idea also.  CDMOP do you want to try it on one line and keep track, see how it goes, and let us know?

Yeah I will try and keep track im extremely busy but ill try.  One problem that could occur w/ 1 line is what do we do when we have 5 plays at the same time?  Im thinking maybe we take 5 numbers worth of wagers and play the average for all games?

For instance:

5-5-5-5-7-12-19-24-29-33

average of 5 plays is 28.8...play this for all 5 games instead of 38.

yeah just depends on how aggressive you want to be.  Most would probably play them all at 38, can cost you or clear your lines more quickly depending on your luck that day...

REALLY pissed these games are going to G3 bets!  I had a bad feeling when SEA screwed up two innings at the end of the game FRI and can't get it done with their ace today.  BOS is a mess right now.  Proceed with caution.
