The San Fransisco Giants -110 ML are the favorites vs Atlanta Braves, and therefore do not qualify as a Dog EFF system play;
When I ran the spreadsheet and actually placed my bets, I had SF at Even.
For tracking purposes I'm using my posted plays as official plays. I run the spreadsheet once and place all my personal bets at one time using this info. I usually do not track line movement. If a line changes and moves into or out of the system, that is something I'm not going to be able to track.
I like the way DanRules is currently formulating the official plays. He runs the spreadsheet in the morning and whichever DOGS qualify as a play at that time - he makes it an official play.
Now that DOG could later become a favorite later in the day - but from my understanding (I could be totally wrong here) - but most sharps like to jump on the DOGS early to lock in their value - when they do this the line can typically move - it may move to the point where that DOG moves to a favorite.
My 2 cents - is I hate paying juice - if you didn't lock in the value earlier in the day and now your would be paying juice - I would scratch the play personally. So all that means is you should try to lock in your dog plays early.
This will also help you avoid situations where a team opens as a FAV and goes to a DOG - again - could be wrong here - but IF that is sharp money coming in on the other side forcing that team from a FAV to the DOG - you don't want that play anyway - as you are on the wrong side of the sharps. Now there is more to it when it comes to line reading - you want to fade to PUBLIC money and follow the SHARP money - but this system does not deal with line movement in terms of play adjustment - but in a way DanRules is accounting for it by jumping on the DOGS early and locking in value.
Just my 2 cents - I could be totally wrong here - but that is the purpose of this thread - free idea exchange to help develop this DOG betting method.
BTW - the system killed it today if i'm not mistaken 100% WIN RECORD - like I said Friday when 11-15 favorites covered. The DOGS will come a barking soon - that day was today!
Degen and SN - I just try to post as early as I can before the first game of the day and then I don't look at line movement at all. I can see if someone wanted to run the update numerous times to be as accurate as possible.
To Degen's point, if we can bet on a dog early and it turns to a fave, even better. We get good odds on a team that the big betters turned to a fave.
Question for SN - Does the Cantor online app allow for RRL betting? I tend to bet online at Station rather than run to the book every day.

Interesting stuff Buckeye. The one issue I have with this is that we are trying to find positive value in dogs and the 3 game chase as you describe is only capturing that for sure on the A game. Games B and C very likely have nothing to do with this dog system.
So, that made me take a look at chasing each individual team only when they qualify for one of the dog systems. I took your lead on the betting units, so 1 for game 1, then 2 for game 2, 4 for the next game and maxing out at 8. A team that loses 4 in a row when qualifying for the system would cost us 15 units.
I ran the results for the entire season (Apr 16 for our testing) and there was one loss (Toronto) and the results were +91.52 units over all. So a $25 bettor would be up $2288 with the biggest bet being $200.

line movement is based on 'balance' and varies from book to book, where as any filters or variables is at the discretion of the capper at large, serious players make their own line judgement, and wagers 10 minutes before the first pitch, unless their is an "early line" advantage-handicap; leave it alone, instances occur, last night, many books had the Braves as perennial favorites [-110] others had to contain balance, and shifted the Giants from [+105] to [-110 to -115]
