The Battle Forum is starting and we are proud to say that this is officially the biggest Battle Forum ever!!! We had 7 late entries that put us over the top!
It's the usual suspects at the top as the Vampire (Ds0589) jumps out in front on Day 1 with 490 points. Grambus is in 2nd with 290 and Degosfinest is off to his usual fast start with 200 points. Battle Forum newcomer 24secv has 170 points in the 4th spot.
Major surprises on Day 1 is that Unstoppable Force, Mondo, Atlanta and Thedeakon were all winless. Of course there's alot of time left as the 1st Round will last 2 weeks but still those Gladiators can't be happy about going winless. One other note the Battle Forum's first Female Gladiator TeeLocke has a respectable 90 points and starts out in 5th place.

BATTLE FORUM DAY 1 RECAP

If you would have said that yesterday we could have got you in. I run the Battle Forums once or twice a year. You can join Greeneyedevils March Madness pool he runs pools year round.

Gorzo was MIA for the first two days. We sent a Posse out to find him but it was to no avail. Well it turns out Gorzo was in the mountains of Japan practicing his Ninja techinques. It worked liked a charm. Gorzo popped out of nowhere and with 34 picks he zoomed to 3rd Place with 460 points. Maybe we all should take Ninja lessons.
Phillyfan took over 1st Place as it appears that he and Grambus are going to be battling for that top spot in the early going. Phillyfan has an incredible winning pct of 72.2%. Grambus continues to pick at a steady pace with a 64% pct winning pct. Manny is looking solid as he went 2-0 today to gain 200 points and jumped to 4th Place.
Don't look now but Thedeakon is the hottest Gladiator suddenly as he went 11-2-2 gaining 880 points. This is the type of madness we envisioned with this format. Brackson and Smoothd took huge tumbles. Brackson lost 880 points as he picked 30 games. Smoothd didn't pick as many but the pain was still bad as he lost 450 points as he went 1-5. Str8bcashomie is bringing up the rear currently at a woeful -1320.
But just like Gorzo and Thedeakon have shown is that you can go from trash to Gold in Battle Forum V and that's the excitement of it all.

GORZO ENTERS THE FORUM NINJA STYLE!

The 1st Round is 1/5 of the way now so it's time to start thinking about who's gonna make it to the 2nd Round as we enter our first weekend of Battle Forum V.
They're alot of Gladiators looking awfully bad especially normal Powers Upset City and Unstoppable Force. But there is plenty of time to right the ship and with this format anything can happen literally overnight. Nobody is out of the battle especially with 9 days left.

Lost in the mayhem is the fact that Thedeakon has taken over the top spot making 24 picks and gaining 300 points. Don't look now but Teelocke is now in the 2nd spot. Teelocke the only female Gladiator went a perfect 3-0 to gain 300 points. Manny had a nice bounce back day gaining 190 points. 24secv is back in the hunt after moving into the 4th spot.
We have a nice battle going for that last spot to qualify as Crush currently holds that spot down with Smoothd, Mondo and Taylorsallstars all fighting at the bottom of the qualifying spots.Ghostrunner is also making a move gaining 410 points. He was as high as 640 but has faded as the night wore on.

The biggest mystery in the 1st Half has been the sudden implosion of Grambus who has lost 1440 points the last 2 days. Did Grambus also get kidnapped by JohnnyUtah or is he in full panic mode. We don't know but we do know that if the 2nd Round started today Grambus wouldn't make it. He's currently at #17, 250 points behind Crush who holds the last spot. The lower half of the Top 16 is filled with some heavyweights like Crush, Atlanta and Phillyfan. We also have some perennial powers lurking outside the Top 16 like Upset City, Unstoppable Force, WBellhaven and Hashbrowns. WBellhaven hasn't posted a winning day yet so you know what that means. He's gonna heat up this week. WBellhaven is always the Dark Horse factor in the Battle Forum.
It's going to be an interesting 2nd half of the 1st Round. This wide open format is just what we predicted it would be and more. It's been a wild ride and no doubt it's going to be even wilder this week.

So Rocky whatever contest you're in you have to go to that forum and make your picks there. If you're talking about the King of Covers contest you can enter that from the Contest forum. If you're talking about the Battle Forum it's too late to enter that because we already started. I hope that answers your question.
