Both Gladiators went down swinging but Grambus comes out victorious. Grambus went 5-3 to gain 170 points on the day and that proved to be enough to put DS0589 down. DS0589 had a decent day going 8-7-1 to but could only gain 30 points and that simply wasn't enough. Grambus will now advance to the Semis where he will have a chance to get revenge on Masterone.

MONDO STRIKES FIRST!
After a day of waiting the Battle Forum Championship suddenly boomed with action. Mondo scored a rare early advantage over the Champ. It's the first time the Champ didn't get out to an early lead. This is only Day 2 so you better bring your popcorn as these two Powerhouse Gladiators battle.
Mondo is doing what the other challengers to Masterone tried to do and that's get off to a good start. Mondo continues to stay hot as he went 2-0 to gain 200 points on the day. Meanwhile Masterone realizes he's in a real battle now and his patented counterpunching strategy is out the window now. Masterone was forced to pick 5 games but he did go 3-2 and gained 80 points. The problem for either Gladiator getting too far behind is that unlike the previous Rounds this Round has limited games as the Tournaments are winding down.

I want to start a post on some strategies for the Streak Survivor. It's time we put our minds together and start putting together some serious streaks. There have only been a couple of serious streaks this year. My definition of serious is anything over 17. My goal is to hit 21 for that $25K mark and then set my eyes on the big one. Please post any systems or ideas that you have to help the other players on the site build up serious streaks.
