Serious Streak Survivor Strategies

     I just finished poring over the Covers matchup report  for this game and there are several things to like here. Most notably are the records for both teams. Drexel (16-7), is not only undefeated at home (10-0), but they are also 6-3 on the road.

      Drexel will be on the road tonight for this Conference matchup against Northeastern and they won the first game at home by a score of 71-53 at the Daskalakis Center in Philadelphia, PA. It should be closer this time out in Boston, but I think a cover of the spread of only four points is still manageable for the Dragons. After all, they do possess a nice 13-7 ATS record in all games. Drexel is 9-2 in Conference games this season. Drexel also plays tough defensively and they are among the best in the nation in this category.

     Northeastern, on the other hand, has not fared as well. They are 7-4 in Conference games. They also have an overall record of only 11 wins and 10 losses. The biggest thing to me is that their dismal 6-13 record ATS. They play tough defense, like Drexel, but not as tough.

     In the end, I believe that Drexel will cover because of their superior defense. Although the Dragons are not all that spectacular offensively, they should be able outscore Northeastern by creating turnovers and by outrebounding them.

* for what it is worth, Drexel also has all of the green check marks on their side. Every last one of them! I'm not quite sure how relevant that it is, but I like it!

Playing a bunch of unders today. college ball has had some stupid low scoring by a lot of teams. Big east and sec teams have had a lot of low scores this year. I liked the Uconn under, but didn't get it in.

I want to address a serious issue that is currently happening with a member of our club. I will not name names today but in a few days I will. But I would like to say that I think that it's important that when I invite you to a league that is off the Covers site and we have a gentlemen's agreement concerning money. I think it's only fair that the agreement be honored. As most of you know I am very active in Fantasy sports. Based on my relationship in the $25 Dime Club I have personally vouched for the integrity of our members on these other sites with men that I have been playing with for 4 years. One person has decided to dishonor that group and this group by not only reneging on their word but insulting us by saying they sent "cash" in the mail. I am personally disappointed and have sent this individual personal emails  saying as much. I relay this situation now because if this person doesn't make good on their word I will announce on this site who this person is and  this individual will not be welcomed to the $25 Dime Club. I will make it known on this site and others that this person has no integrity and is nothing more than a con man, a charlatan, masquerading as a big time gambler and capper and can't be trusted. It's unfortunate that this situation has gotten to this point but like I said I personally vouched for all our guys because I thought I was dealing with standup people. I can say that all of our guys except this one are standup guys but nevertheless this individual has brought shame to the $25 Dime Club because I personally vouched for him. When asked how did I meet them I told the group about our Club and this site. They all asked was I sure and I said yes. Everybody knows you have to pay to play and the fact that we collect after the competition helps any newcomers know that everything is on the up and up. But apparently there are people who only seek to "get over" on others and that's how they operate in their life. 

W2 for thursday is a double bonus, Manhattan is fabulous ATS and their playing Marist at home!

For Streak Survivor W #5, I am going with a play that I absolutely hate!

      I hate that the public is all over it. (65-95% of the public; depending upon where you look.)

      I hate the line movement. (they opened as a -5 favorite and now just -3.5, however they did enjoy a brief stay at -3)

     I hate that the pick and the line seems too good to be true! [not my research here; I found this on the web:
      "the Trail Blazers are 5-0 against the spread in their last five trips to Sacramento and 6-1 against the spread in their last seven games versus the Kings. The favorite is also 6-1 against the number in the last seven meetings between these two teams while the road squad is 6-2-1 ATS in the last nine meetings."]
