i know and payton is usually aggressive.....that should of been easy.....especially when the short yardage runs didnt work all game long...........yep those 2 plays were costly and the fumble to start the game with............or even pitch the ball to sproles to the outside i could live with that....lol

I agree especially since ingram isn't exactly a "big" back like kuhn or brandan jacobs. Its easy to stop his momentum and there offensive line was getting man handled all day. I agree the a qb sneak or a quick pitch to sporles on the outside would have been a better play.

I agree with what you guys said about the end of the game. Here is one more observation about the Saints last play. I believe that even though the call to run up the gut was a bad one, that Ingram himself could have spun and bounced around to the outside.The Packers sold out and crashed the middle and would not have reacted in time to stop the explosive quickness of Ingram, nor his power in getting across the goaline. I commend Ingram for not doing this. He is a rookie and knew the "right" thing to do was follow the play as scripted. If rookies try to improvise, they find the bench quickly in this league. Finally, even as the play was run the way that it was, it appeared that Mark Ingram could have gone lower and bulldozed his way into a dive for the score. I saw him do that at Alabama countless times and I'm not sure if I ever saw him attempt to go in upright the way he did last night. Hindsight is 20/20 and I'm sure the play developed so fast that they all did the best they could. Those are the breaks, I guess. Geaux Saints!

1-0 win over Lincecum. He also beat the two-time NL Cy Young Award
winner on opening day March 31, when Kershaw worked seven scoreless
innings in a 2-1 victory.
Kershaw has also been rolling against other opposition, as well. He is 4-0 with a .090 ERA in his last five starts. He is 17-5 with a 2.45 ERA on the saeason and is making a strong case for the NL Cy Young Award. I can certainly live with it if I lose backing Kershaw. His Dodgers are on quite a run, winning 13 of their last 16 games overall. I simply feel that the line is an oddsmakers error and the wrong team is favored.

i saw a replay of the 1st 4th down play, he had the fullback open....brees hesitated and the play got blown up..........also on the last play if your going up the middle why not give it to sproles and let him fly over the top..........but they had a chance and it cost me but you can fall behind 14zip to start the game.........just glad football is back

I am going with TCU today. I just don't see them losing 2 straight and I don't see their defense playing poorly again. However I will say this. Air Force has been known to rack up as much as 300 yards on the ground in years past so TCU's defense better be ready for the ground attack.

Did anyone see West Virginia's point spread against Norfolk State? It's -46.5! When I thought the spreads could not get any bigger guess what LSU's is against Northwestern State? -49! Imagine starting a pick in a 7 touchdown deficit however it's these games that could end 70-0. With that being said It's Standford -20 over Duke that I'm going for.

I want to start a post on some strategies for the Streak Survivor. It's time we put our minds together and start putting together some serious streaks. There have only been a couple of serious streaks this year. My definition of serious is anything over 17. My goal is to hit 21 for that $25K mark and then set my eyes on the big one. Please post any systems or ideas that you have to help the other players on the site build up serious streaks.

Hey Bama, whats going on with that Sports Parlor site, they still have the August contest & prize listed, do you know anything, I mean is it common for them to take this long to update the following months contest & prize? I just have a feeling that the site is done because it doesn't seem to be more then about 20 people who participate in the contests on the site, which personally I like since it gives you a much higher shot at actually winning, but probably not good for keeping the site going.

Before we get on with our day full of sports, Football, baseball and Soccer. Let's all take a moment to remember that fateful day when this country was attacked by a group hell bent on bringing us down. I'm sure everyone remembers where they were on that horrible day, the lives lost and how we all cried as we watched our country being attacked. But as Americans we overcame and justice was served to Bin Laden this year. Not only did we lose 2,953 American lives that day but we have lost thousands more in wars as a direct result of this tragic day. Without these brave men and women including my oldest son the Marine, fighting for us to have the freedom to do what we do, this country would be in serious trouble. Despite our disagreements the bottom line at the end of the day is that we're all Americans, Black, White, Latino, Asian and Native. All of us are Americans and on that day the enemies of this country didn't care what color your skin was. That's something we all need to keep in mind in these hyper sensitive political times. As Americans we need to remember how this tragic event brought us together and have a basic respect towards each other that is so lacking in our society today. I ask that everyone take a moment to remember and pray for our country that we turn to God once again for direction. Let's have a great day and enjoy the games. God bless the United States of America!
