No hex effect. I wanted the Braves initially but I was afraid of the line movement, then I wanted the Blue Jays but was afraid of a AA pitcher and now I pick against the Cubs after what smooth said. Well I deserve this L for not listening to smooth.

I'm sorry, Quad. I thought the curse was lifted when they were ahead, but it was not to be. It was a balls of steel pick, but once again the Cubbies show us what's what. How do we ever win this team? Like Smooth said, they kill us when we pick them and are certain to show up in force when we pick against them.

SFTC food for thought on the Tiger prop

 golfer with more money won versus the tie option is 0-6

and the tie option is 11-2 with the 2 losses being on the 2nd golf prop of the day

go against Tiger and take Rory in the 2nd prop

well looks like the dog of the day in baseball is the Angels over the Yanks

as a Yanks fan hope its wrong

dog of the day in NFL preseason is the CARDS over the Raiders

Thanks to the consensus being too high on philly today i ended up taking the over (7) in the game.  The over hit in the 3rd inning with LA up 6-2 so i don't have to hope for a philly comeback.  Feels nice not to have to sweat out a comeback.

Hey guys, I just found this awesome breakdown of the first five games of NFL Preseason action that kicks off tonight. It is to much to copy and paste, so I will provide the link. You will love it, Booyahz, because it supports your Jags dog play! Here it is:

Personally i think it is really really tough to predict the 1st preaseason game for each team.  The guys who end up deciding the games are scrubs and 1st round picks in the 4th quarter so the lineups change each year.  I know what the "stats" say but each year is obviously different and coaches are trying new schemes.  I think you are safer with picking the over since most teams keep the defenses simple and don't blitz much.

I agree1st preseason games tough to predict

anything I post are angles that I am working on.......once I have results I post the results of the angle

Angels are losing ......thought they would at least cover the +1.5

the dog of the day picks are a new angle and hold no real value yet

some of my other angles have turned out pretty good in baseball

keep posting krams....input is always welcome

I hear ya and in betting it is def. angles and numbers.  And thanks for the encouragement.  Good luck with the jags (i'm a huge pats fan and i'm going to the game so i hope the pats win but i'll root for a 3 pt win ha)

well Angels did cover the +1.5.....lol

My dog of the day angle is now 3-2 straight up and 5-0 ATS
the 2 losses were a WNBA game with NY beating SEATTLE by 2 pts and the other SU loss was the Angels...........if JAGS cover this angle would be 6-0 ATS.......lol

Glad the Yanks won I saw everyone in our group but me took the Yanks

Hey Krams. Nice to see you back, bro!

Preseason is definitely a cappers nightmare. In addition to all of the usual numbers, stats, trends, and angles, we must also factor so many other variables that do not apply to regular season games. Such factors as who will or won't play and for how long if they do play. Plus it is hard to gauge motivation as winning is not always the goal. It depends on the Head Coach as to how important winning in the preseason is to a team. And finally, as you stated, in the 4th quarter the game is decided by guys that do not get much playing time as well as guys that we have no info on but a scouting report. There was some good stuff in the two links I posted earlier and I tend to rely on those type of reports.

To make a long story short, it is just a nightmare to figure out what may happen in those games. Yet there are those that do it successfully every year and i applaud them.

Like I said before, it is great to have you back. Have fun at the game tonight. Go Big Blue!

I quoted myself here to make a point. That point is that those blasted Cubbies can hurt us even when  we don't pick them at all! I REALLY wanted to pick the Cubs today, but due to past trauma I did not even though everthing pointed to them winning. This is precisely why I didn't pick them, which is a decision I now regret because they won! As twisted as it may seem, I am actually starting to like this team. Strange indeed!

As for the other part of that post, I did indeed go with the White Sox tonight @-115 and am hoping for the best. Mark Buehrle is about as reliable as they come, so I like their chances.

lost my w5 on SFTC by taking the over in the CFL when my sheet says under is the play with CFL on SFTC......

A couple of things to bear in mind about Preseason Football. The games truly don't matter. It's players, mostly Free Agents and draft picks fighting for their jobs. I have never bet on Preseason Football so a word to the wise. Watch the games, look for possible surprise players but don't bet on the games. Of course this is only my opinion.
