CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TODAY PLAYS (10/8)

SOCCER:  24-9-3 ATS after a 5-1 day yesterday.

Admittedly, I really prefer todays card but something tells me not to overindulge after 5-1 yesterday in soccer and 7-0 in NFL.  Obviously these are all posted for anyone to see.  I'm going to start posting NBA and NCAAB shortly, just like to see how teams start off before diving in.  With that said...

NAPOLI FH (-109) & FG -1 (-149):  I know I go back to the well often with this team and even with no Oshimhen they should be able to handle a Union Berlin side that is just searching for answers.  Moreover, they can barely score so for Union Berlin I believe they will be packing it in on the backline to avoid a crooked result.  Lucky for them this is on the early side of the CL roster so maybe Napoli comes out a bit sluggish?  Clearly I don't think that will happen as they are playing at home where they are almost untouchable and will want to get the first goal and control the game.  Napoli also has had only THREE defeats in their past 21 UCL group stage matches, which is truly incredible.  Today will not be the fourth.

BENFICA/REAL SOCIEDAD UNDER 2.5 (-120):  Full disclosure, I also like the draw +248.  I'm going to go on the premise that Real Sociedad will bounce back from a disappointing weekend loss and be ready for this match.  They have been playing great overall and I don't think they will struggle to find motivation here.  Benfica on the other hand, has scored at will in the Portuguese league but have found it extremely tough to score in the UCL.  That should help with the under as Sociedad has a very strong defense.  BUT, Benfica lost only one of their last 11 UCL away fixtures (W6, D4) and are also unbeaten across their last three UCL games in Spain (W1, D2).  So I think there is a very good chance this could end up 0-0 or 1-1.  Either way, my play is on the UNDER.

I will be back with the plays that kickoff in the later window.  I just want to check some lineups but I don't foresee much changing with my leans.  Hoping everyone is having a great week, as always, tail or fade, good luck to all...

You and DJ are on the Benfica under. Looks pretty solid. One other person felt that given Benfica's back is against the wall they will trying to make something happen today which will open up the field and create a lot of scoring opportunities. I personally like Benfica +0.5 +110. Thoughts?

Union Berlin hasn't scored a goal (NOT ONE GOAL) in over a month. I wonder if that changes today against a Napoli team that tends to have a leaky D at home. With that being said I do love Napoli to score a goal in the 1H. It's only -150. BOL!

Benica will be pressing for sure but Sociedad still needs to hit the back of the net and the Benfica keeper is quite good.  I'm not really sure how Benfica doesn't get you the +0.5 bc I like them to draw which means you'll be a winner.  for Sociedad, they really need to do nothing more than draw so they won't be as aggressive imo

I HATE UNDERS in any sport,l took your Benefica under and like usual, when l take an under it goes over in any sport. 

I APOLOGIZE, l may take 6-8 unders a year, and lose them all ffs

Well I hope they at least hit my BTTS so I can break even in the match but damn you are right not a good performance by Benfica for sure. 

If u like unders stick to Argentina league. .I do well by taking draw pregame and making small plays on over 0.5 in both half

The draw at +200 odds will give u some insurance if u miss 1 of the 2 under in each half

Then VAR takes a Napoli goal off the board. Not a good morning so far for either of us sadly.

Napoli is up 1-0.  45 minutes but yes VAR sucks lol.  Benfica really just self combusted smh

Got it back. Thankfully. My biggest play of the morning was Napoli to score a goal 1H. Love a Union Berlin goal at some point for the BTTS.

Yeah me too Napoli is all over my tickets and the FH especially.  But sill like to keep it classy and win them all lol.

Waiting on a few things but I'll be on OVER 1.5 in Bayern for certain as they have gone over that tally in 5 of the last 6 games they've played.  With Kane in a groove now I'll be surprised if they dont' win the FH too but truth be told Galasstasary have been playing very well of late.

I’ve never seen a benfica team be this bad in champions or Europa league, in my 20+ years of watching European football! 3.5 games and haven’t scored a single goal in champions league. They are possibly the worst team in champions league. Even in Europa league they’d get embarrassed. Usually Porto and benfica play well and advance to next round or at least to Europa league as third place. This benfica team needs some major improvements.

Union Berlin could be worse lol.  One more goal by Napoli and it's good night in the FG as well.  very lucky as  the very last kick, a free kick, hit off the post.

either way, 1-1 so far, sorry for those that tailed the UNDER in RS/Benfica, just really strange play by Benfica 

Benfica fan here. They’ve been abysmal all season after having a great year last year. Not much was changed with the exception of +Di Maria and -Goncalo Ramos. The fall off shouldn’t be this bad. Hate blaming coaches, but Schmidt has been trying to “invent” like playing Aursnes at RB/LB, today starting Joao Neves at RM, etc. This has been an embarrassing performance for sure. I’d expect Musa to come in for Arthur Cabral, who was signed and has been a huge bust. Maybe Goncalo Guedes for Joao Mario to add more to the attack.

I also took BTTS, knowing Sociedad would likely win but Benfica would fight to get some points for that 3rd place Europa spot. Think that 1st half deflated the team’s confidence though…

Unders are meant to be boring In soccer. Only baseball under are worth watching. If I wanna watch a bunch of grown men run around and not score ..I just take my friends to the bar or nightclub
