You then used the example of good team vs bad team. After being shown that the gap is tighter in baseball then your examples you then go back to the gospel of the loser - its all luck

Yet you cannot explain how the longest regular season of any sport in the world is more about luck then seasons that are much, much shorter. Anybody with half a brain knows that the longer something goes on the more the edge will play out, and therefore the shorter a season the more luck will come into play

So, do you have any proof that baseball is all about luck? You got facts and figures to back this up. Does the number of errors per game back up your claims? (by the way, the average per game per team last year was just over 0.61)

Or is it you just haze zero clue about the game?

maybe you can explain to us why prices are different for the Yankees when C.C. Sabathia is starting and when Bartolo Colon starts. Would this price variance be greater or less if Sabathia was the starter and ARod was and wasn't in the lineup?

I await your facts and figures on why baseball is all about luck

    U are seriously an idiot.

1st of all u said overs and unders dont get put up the night before, only on the day. WRONG

U also said, the storm last year didnt change there style of play after the announcement hence not affecting o/u, again, i showed you that games averaged 12 points more after the announcement.

Now u are trying to say why a team that has lost 8% more games than another will get effectively $5 more on a price.

I dont need to school you again do i?

Furthermore, betting on baseball is the riskiest out of all sport, Why, cause not only is the game itself alot of luck, BUT the most important person ont he field is the pitcher, if he has a bad day or hasnt "turned up", your bet is pretty much over before it started.

If Kobe is having a bad shooting night, at leats he can play good defense, rebound and get assists, if Halladay is having a retched day, well he will just watch the ball go out of the park.

Oh, i forgot, u can tell when a player is gonna turn up or not. Coaches and players dont know if they are gonna turn up themselves, but u do......

We havent even started to talk about errors and bad hops in a game of baseball which most of the time turn the game on its head. But i suppose u can tell when a player is gonna make an error or get a bad bounce.

But i suppose u can tell when a player is gonna make an error or get a bad bounce.

wow and thourght Hirschfelder was just being a COCK in my thread the other week.

rostos i think ur right about the NBA and MLB but then again much of the time the better pitchers will show up such as CC LEE, Timmy and so forth. But i get what you mean.

I reckon the NRL is easier to cap coz u get longer to research and get a feel for each game. This hasnt helpd me much this year so far but hope to turn that round when the comp sorts itself out.

The (55-21) Lakers taking on the (36-41) Jazz tonight.

The laks are paying $1.02 and the Jazz are paying $11....

Hirscfelder sighting team records as a reason why odds differ significantly between NBA and MLB.

    Hircshfelder

I know the Jazz have injuries...........BUT.....

There is no way on earth if the Phillies played the Blue Jays (a ROUGH equivalent) of the Jazz and the Jays had there worst pitcher on the mound and had there 4 best players out they would be more thn $4 for the win against Doc...NO way........

    And the Jazz are $11.........Why?

Cause the game of baskeball is majority (95%) determined by skill and attitude where as baseball is 80-85% luck.

    Mathematical proof right there

NBA is like the EPL in which the best teams are so much better then the worst teams

MLB is like the NRL in which anybody can beat anyone

The same teams win year after year in the NBA and EPL because the gap between the best and worst teams is so great

    NBA

Spurs and Lakers have won 9 of the past 12 championships between them

    EPL

Manchester United and Chelsea have won 9 of the past 11 EPL titles between them

    NRL AND MLB

Almost a different winner every year because the teams are much closer

Offering 11/1 about a MLB team or NRL team

Why is there such high spreads in the AFL every week but not in the NRL?

Is it because of luck? or is it because the best teams are so much better then the worst teams?

Gold Coast Suns +70.5 this week against the Bulldogs
    Collingwood beating teams by 87

The NRL has a salary cap, the MLB doesnt.

Have u seen the Red Sox and Phillies rosters this year? They are like the QLD origin team.

A comp that has no salary cap and owners that spend as much as it takes should result in dynasties and back to backs and 3 peats.

Tou are honestly going to sit there and try and say to everyone, the distribution in talent between the MLB teams is so much closer than the distribution of talent in the NBA?

    Phillies - Pirates

    Yankees - Astros

Doesn't matter how much money they spend or who should win what because the Facts say there is almost a different winner every year in the MLB because its a tight league where anybody can beat anyone
