RWC 2011 - It's Time!

Hard to tell, especially since we haven't seen the Samoans yet.

The Namibians will match the physicality of the Samoans and will look to play a very tight match.  I had this match pegged at 28.5 and it looks like the spread is around 30.  I can't see any value in this match.  Samoa might get a few in in the second half for the cover or Namibia might play spoiler long enough to stay within the points.

If you fancy, I would stay off that game and play a small amount on Georgia TO WIN against Scotland.  You can get a minimum of $11.00, probably more, and the match should be competitive.  The line at 21 points is well off the 30+ it was before the tournament, but I would much rather dabble on this match than sniff Samoa and Namibia.

Then again, after the first weekend of games, it has been a wacky affair.  The ball seems disagreeable to every team, the kicking has been atrocious, and the fields have been similar to ice rinks with the amount of lost-footing I have seen.

That really throws off what you expect the teams to do.

Then again, it throws the oddsmakers off as well.

TAB just put up the Scotland Georgia line tonight. Got in early at +19.5 which I thought was very good considering Romania got within a try of Scotland. Money in the bank!

Not me personally, haven't seen much from Namibia to take them on a +16.5. 

Mmm was gonna say they had a good 1st half against Fiji but then realised the 1st half margin was probably more than 16 and Samoa is a better team than Fiji

I was thinking about that Japan line too, started at +65.5 so has been beaten down a bit but still looks quite good. Unders in the NZ game looks good too at 70.5!

Not sure on Russia USA either, USA played well in their 1st game but no way to tell how the game will pan out without having seen Russia 1st!

Yeah I think i'll but 2u on Japan plus the points on the first half and 1u on Russia plus the points, USA played well last game but before that they were completely different, all over the place. So i'm hoping the pressure will get the better of them :P

No, I don;t have any dedicated college football threads as I don't play every week due to lack of time from work. 

If there is any play that I like, I'll let you know.  Wisconsin and Stanford were the plays last week and they hit. I then dabbled a bit on Idaho +14 as I thought they were highly undervalued.  I only play a few games a weekend in college as there usually are a few botched lines.

If Scotland boshes it up in the first 20 and the Lelos get a sniff.....Scotland is in for a looooooooong match.  This might be one of the most entertaining matches of the preliminary rounds.  I had this one circled before the lines came out as I knew there would be a massive undervalue of Georgia combined with a massive overvalue of Scotland.  Good opportunity created by the pool selections.

Not touching Kiwis and Blossoms.

U.S. will have gained massive momentum from their showing against the Irish.  O'Sullivan has tagged the Russian game as a "must-win" and the U.S. will be ready.  I wish they were playing Italy next instead in order to best capitalize off their performance against the Irish.

I have U.S. -7.5 and I think they grab this.  O'Sullivan was clearly disguising and hiding his WC gameplan in the final two exhibition matches.  The Americans have come out with a completely difference look, set-up, and strategy than just a couple weeks ago.  Their tackling in defence has also been eye-popping.

Russia is coming in cold having not played.

Leaning towards the Maple Leafs (+7.5, maybe SU) versus Donga. All time series between the two is split 2-2 with Canada winning the last time they met in a World Cup albeit it was 8 years ago...
