Hopefully this year's tourney is as good or better than 2007! That was one for the ages! England v. France in the semifinal was smashing. Georgia's B-Team vs. Ireland was one of the most memorable matches I have ever seen. USA's try of the tournament versus South Africa. A lot of great memories there.
What will we see this time around?

Hope you're right!! I have no idea about teams like Georgia but I can't wait to watch em! i need some union after watching so much shitty league :P
I'll take a small 5 or 10 dollar punt on the line for ireland and a few other games once odds come out! :)
My Roosters were down and dusted as soon as the first drop of alcohol touched Carney's lips.....so I hear you there!!!
Ireland better not slowball the entire match and come up a few points short. Reddan's in so we won't have to worry about O'Leary making a snoozefest of the match. US will tire in the 2nd Half and the gates will open.

That's an awesome price... Where ya get that from?
Don;t want to name books, but it was months ago and it was an each-way bet, one to win the final and one to make the final. Has dropped to $2.00-$2.50 in most places now. I guess all the money came in on NZ and Aus and smashed a lot of the value.

I'm thinking of taking Tonga +63.5, I think the bookies have over estimated the all blacks for this one, they're likely to come out a little too arrogantly and will hopefully not play as forcefully as expected.
Any opinions on that?

Line opened at 80.5 at first, was quickly batted down into the 70's. Now at 63.5? Daaaaaaaaaaaamn...........no value anymore in that. Hard to tell as Tonga is the worst of the three island teams (Fiji, Samoa).
No play there for me.

The first round available on TAB all feature matches which are very sharp on the line. For instance, I had Australia at -28.5 over Italy and it is 30.5.
If you are looking for a punt within these matches, the best wager for sure is the Boks -12.5 over Wales. They will beat the Welsh and the Southern Hemisphere advantage, plus being in-form from the S15 and Tri-Nations should have the Boks very keen to cover this line.
That is the best wager of the first few matches, besides Ireland over USA, of course.
Ireland better not slow play damn't!!!!!!!!

Yeah that's the one, I dont like it but i have to go to a store to place my bets and thats the only one.
Well, feel blessed to live in Australia and being able to saunter down to a local TAB and place a friendly wager. In the US we are being cracked down upon by the Feds and even by credit card companies. It is all silly and very much a terrible side effect of our Puritan history. I wish I could make a wager at a local shop without being treated like a criminal.

I was really hoping for a flub up by the books on Scotland v. Romania, but they nailed that one tight. Romania used to be a really decent side, but have fallen off in the past couple decades. Line is 33.5 and that is just too sharp. Scotland could get disinterested at 20-30 or could pile it on.
Romanian team is giving off hints of being happy just to have made the tournament so watching this match might give some insight on their little matches for wagering purposes.

Georgia was my team of 2007 WC and while this year's team isn't as good as 2007, I am still counting on them being undervalued. That and the amazing Georgian fighting spirit. I can't see them not covering versus England, Scotland, and Romania.
Hopefully my instincts are correct here.
