Rex should just shut up and let the team play. Not a good matchup for the already peaked Chargers who have been less than impressive last two at home. Party w/ Tia night before?

LT getting his raincoat and visor ready for the sideline playoff appearance.Rivers could be standing there with him if the Jets eat clock and run.Smith,Jones and play action hombre Sanchez too much for soft San Diego Defense. JETS WIN !

Norv & Rivera -shocked and awed.

This looks to easy sd has all the tools the famous jets defense was far from smothering like the old man had with the bears. Cincy didnt have a great off anyway and were able to manage 14 pts that means SD should score around 24 -27  and really jets score that much against SD . Personall y evev if the line was 9.5 would still lay the pts.Cincy's recievers were open quite a bit and SD has alot more options with Gates and tomlinson,Rivers probably one of the best will throw often and early setting up running gm later  in 4th quarter. Lets face the jets defense did not impress any sportswriyers this weekend but they did get the jos done on a very well banged up cincny team GL

jets plus however much i can get. the jets and sanchez played pretty much mistake free football on saturday. if the jets can run the ball and slowly ingest the clock then look out. i agree rex should enjoy his ride and quite saying too much during his interviews. i can't believe it but, i say the jets win and advance with of course sanchez stepping up even more and carrying his team. i just dont like that these teams are at home partially resting and practicing while the jets and others are gelling and playing real football. would i be outta line to say the jets win convincingly. who knows only time will tell. gl to all

Cocky coach and over achieving Jets cover here! 1st Indy, then Cincy (twice!), now SD. Maybe tomorrow -the S. Bowl !!!!   Very impressed with the Jets turn around this year on defense. Yeah- true they threw in a couple of "klinkers" this year. But come to think about it- what team TY hasn't stunk up the joint? There's also a little matter of revenge from last year, when the Bolts smacked around this team "big time"! While a Jets SU win is possible, will be making a substantial wager on the ATS.

    Chargers defense steals the show...

    San Diego - 17                            New York - 0

    Chargers -9                          under 42

    Clock strikes 12 for Shanchez.

Nice start though for a rookie.

Rivers (not so much this year) but in previous seasons, has made me  as a home fav QB. Hope he gets it done for me again on Sunday...

Leaning on the Under on this tilt. However, this is only a small "action" bet, not a prime one. See 41 pts being the total here. Vegas issued a very tight number, with no room for error!

I really like the Bolts off the bye and home. I respect the Jets and that running attack. This will clearly be the spot where Sanchez will have to deal with a solid defensive scheme(3-4 defense) and solid corners. I know Thomas Jones and that O-line will do thier thing, but for me its the Jets passing attack and recievers. Its hard to see Jets throwing on first down, but that have to take some chances in this game  throwing the rock. Even though the Chargers a little soft up front on D, I like them to really shut down a overated Cottery and Bralyon Edward from a passing standpoint. Now lets flip it. Norv Turner has been around too long to change his style and theme now. Its "all systems go" with this high powered offense. Expect to see lots of 3 and 4 wide sets, these big recievers will spread this 46 defense out and test that secondary. The Jets live and die in by the blitz,  butremember that really can hurt you sometimes if the Bolts pick it up. I like Darren Sprooles in this game, he's one of the fastest players in the NFL and he can burn you on screens and draws out of the backfield. Expect Rex Ryan to pay attention to him.  Its no secret who's the best corner in the game in Darrel Revis, but I think Norv Turners challenges him and a overated weak saftey Kerry Rhoads. Jets haven't seen a passing attack like this all year, buckle up and get ready. If pressure isn't applied to Rivers, yes he will find the tall basketball recievers and slice you up. I gotta see Jets move the chains consistenly through the air first before I can jump on. Not yet. Chargers at home, led by Phillip Rivers win thier 12 straight. They move the chains and get into AFC Championship. Hey if Ravens can shock #18 PManning, Chargers play "home" for a trip to the SuperBowl. Super Chargers 33 Jets 19

PS.-Even after winning 11 straight, I kinda feel like Chargers are under the radar here. No problem, Rivers and that rocket arm keep the chains moving...................

My records have SD having a poor cover record both in the 1 st games of the season as well as after byes. Ice cold team against red hot team spells disaster

Phillip Rivers is good.  He has 3 very tall guys to throw to.  He can also dump off passes to running backs Sproles and Tomlinson.  He can also scramble and lead his team to victory at home in the playoffs.
Sanchez is a rookie and the Bengals do not have the offense the Chargers have.  He did not need to do much.
The Chargers should put up the 4 TDs to cover 7 points.
Its 7.5 now with New Yorkers pushing it down to 7 later.
San Diego rested at home, Jets flying 3,000 miles after playing away game week before.

Spreads a little high. Have to go with the Chargers though.  As much as I hate Phillip Rivers because he is such an asshole, I have to respect the fact that he will be fired up big time. Probably throwing the cry baby thing at Sanchez from across the field like he used to do to Cutler. I think Rivers has the ability to get into peoples heads. My main point is, you have to go with the far superior home quarterback Rivers, than the lets hope he doesnt make a mistake and pray that Jones can just run the ball all day rookie Mark Sanchez.  Welcome to Thunderdome bitch.

    Stay classy SAN DIEGO -9

Chargers have way to many weapons on off, Jets will have no answers for RIVERS; floyd, jackson, gates, naanee, tolbert, tomlinson, and last but not least Sproles. This line should be 9 or more and all the Jet followers with the stupid public betters will be all over it and once again Vegas and I WIN !!

T Rex Ryan will NOT Lose! Gotta love when the cameraman always has to include his potbelly when they catch him on cam during the game!
