 While Jets handled Cincy on the road , Bolts recently Beat Bungles needing last tick field goal at home .
 Week after, Bolts soundly beat streakin' Titans , thanks to Tennessee's bottom dwelling secondary.
Different story here with superior Gangreen D facing Dr.Rivers and Mr.Hyde .
Jets top ranked D stands at # 2 in the NFL allowing fewest plays of 20 + yards while being tops allowing only 3 total plays over 30 yards this year.
However with SD's inside out speed demons, Jets could find themselves vulnerable to quick outs n' screens .
Tic toc tic toc there goes the clock...( just what ReX R. ordered )
Jets must control time of possesion,while exploiting SD 's 20 th  ranked rushing D to win this one. 
Besides potent running game,believe Sanchez will make the difference and here's why...
With most of attention diverted to ground game , 
Sanchez may be flying under radar that could catch Bolts 
 off guard ,opening door to Trojan Sanchez scenario,
pulling the upset at Turner's gate .
Except for NO game,Kid has shown capability of handling pressure n' Really believe he's going to have one hell of a game 
with conditions that could'nt be any better for USC alumni.
Chargers have not scored less than 20 pts all year long n' perhaps there lies barometer of success for Jets,keeping SD down to 20, that should be good enough for JETS W towards rematch vs. Colts,
 on the road to Miami.
Game should be tight, going either way via last minute field goal with perhaps home advantage going to Kaeding ,who's the better kicker at drillin' 50 yarders.
It's a long shot but Hope to see Joe Willie Namath with side burns n' bell bottoms on Next week's telecast,predicting how Jets will defeat Colts as double digit dogs on their way to Miami.

I'm from SD.  I say VJ is good cous he replaced McCardell a SB champ.  VJ dictates the route and speed also and will get separation.  Also a huge 8 inch height advantage once he jumps in the air.  Jets secondary is beat up from last game.  Not to mention out depth chart is stacked compared vs jets.  No need to get into that, but SD is more complete as a team.  Anyways how is the specatular D with 7 loses??? It's all hype so Rex can keep his job trying to get into the heads of the players.  He's looking for job stability basically.  They uber sux and the cinderella story ends sunday.

This game spells the end of the road for the Jets imo.  Rivers with 2 many weapons and I feel that Sanchez will finally be exposed as the rookie qb he was early in the year when NYJ fails to get the running game in gear and falls behind early.

I'm with ya CJ although the way my picks have been going i don't know if thats great.  This is Mark Sanchez not Joe Willie i think the Jets fans have got caught up in a hopeful repeat of 1969.  Not going to happen they beat a laydown Colts team and a not so good Cincy team twice to get where they are.  The party is over San Diego possible SB champs will end it this weekend.

Spectacular "D" with 7 loses because offense was not up to par yet. Changes in QB mid early season was an adjustment period for the Jets offense and once they got groovin, they kept groovin. One player on the "D" of the jets stands out above the rest and considered to be one of the best dfensive backs to ever play the game in that position.       

"REVIS" (Defensive Back of NYJ)

    This guy not only led the team in INT'S but has shut down some of the best wide receivers in the game. He kept R. MOSS and T. OWENS to less than 30 yards receiving on a man to man coverage. Even the head coach of SD has said [quote] "I don't like to use the term Shut Down Defense because it gets thrown around loosely but in his case I will"

 If that is the case this weekend, SD Chargers will have to run the ball more often than usual due to the fact that the passing game might get shut down hard and in that case the UNDER is a fantastic bet for this game. 

Dime on the ML again for me on the JETS to win.

Hey Guys-

Full disclosure, a "Pats" fan. But back three years ago, I watched as Phillip Rivers with a torn ACL played @ Foxboro in the second most freezing event in the stadium (it was FRIGGEN' FREEZEN"). LT scrunched to the bench and Rivers battled to the end and covered in NE. It was as "tough as nails" as I have seen.

New England gained complete respect for Rivers and I believe that he will deliver the goods- He is a "stud" even if you do not like his antics.

So as long as the Jets contain the Chargers running game, this'll be kept close.

Revis & Co throw a clog in the well-oiled, finely tuned San Diego machine. P Rivers is perhaps long overdue for some key flaws.

Can't bring myself to take NYJ on moneyline, yet they'll definitely cover. Note: the steady drop in spread since Monday.

Will merely observe this one; with a lean on Jets +7 and the Under. Chargers have been far too hot. Many a weaknesses will be exposed here. Maybe Baltimore and Indy will pay attention.

I believe SD defense will be the difference here. they will get pressure on Sanchez and control the jets  running game. Also, I dont think JETS can score with the bolts.

I am not a Jets fan (just the opposite, Pats fan), but am siding with the green gang here.  They are playing well right now, have some momentum, and have 2 things everyone wants in the playoffs -- strong D and strong running game.  Sanchez proved last week he does not have to always make rookie mistakes.  SD had the next to last rushing attack (Colts had the worst -- go figure!)

From good resources say it might rain in Sd tomorrow. They are supposed to be getting some kind of storm or a few inches of rain. If that is the case, it favors the team that that can run the ball and who can stop the run. Rain also limits the amount of throws and throws completed. Since Mark Sanchez doesn't throw that much anyways, I now am fully committed to thinking that the Jets will win SU. As much as I think that SD is the only team that has a chance to beat the Saints after watching them today, I don't think they will advance after tomorrow.

This line opening at -9 has fooled the minds of so many at one time. If you thought this spread was too high, guess what? That was the intention. The line didn't drop to seven because all you idiots jumped Rex Ryans balls. It dropped to -7 because SD will win by 7 or more, a lot more.

Sanchez won't be able to take the challenge of the charger's D. He'll make a couple touchdown passes but no more. San Diego at home will over power the NYJ with their amazing offense and cuz of this it will be slightly over of the 42 pt line. And the chargers will cover the line.

First and foremost, no rookie qb has ever won a 2nd round playoff game, on the road at that. Second this game reminds me of the balt/colts game, NE was a soft win for balt, allowing them to think they were a good playoff team, not, case in point, the jets are facing a well rounded SD team that's nothing like cinncy. MISMATCH-CHARGERS!!!!!!!!!

Seems to me that seasonal stats seem rather useless in the heat of these intensified playoff battles while Looking at Cowboys exorcising 96 demon..Looking at Brady losing his first...ect.
Just by flow of things, SD does flash superior numbers,however it's interesting to see how they seem to struggle,seeming incapable of  "blowing out " teams with grinding defenses.
SD Lost 2 nd game of season to baltimore at home ...
Ok, SD was slow out of the gate this year.(never the less,a foe with a grinding Defense)...
Following week beat Miami but then again, Miami had QB issues.(early in the season,anything goes, yet hats off to taming the Cat)...
Beat Giants in last tics ,thanks to INEPT giant secondary...
Beat Philly , a pass oriented team ...Look what Dallas did to eagles.
Did beat Dallas by a FG , Was THE best defensive team they've faced ALL year... (while dallas offense was in a funk)
Lost to Cincy on following week,perhaps due to physicality of Dallas game...
Finally Beat Tenn. thanks to worst rated secondary in the league...
If Jets were a pass oriented team,there is no doubt SD would win by double digits.
However as a high caliber running team + Rex Ryan's defensive schemes ( heart n' soul of Ravens Glory years) all will have grinding effect on a SD team that has consistently shown inability to produce Big scores vs.superior D's. 
One could say that a weaker defensive Jets team beat a very similar SD team,Rivers n' all, in a similar situation as a 7 point dog ,during 05 playoff game at SD.
Yes, SD receivers have height advantage but Jets do NOT have a weak secondary.
Besides defeating healthy Pats early in the season Jets have not really beaten a high caliber team ( gift game not counting, yet play vs. Indy was impressive)
More important than Stats, Jets have an incredible amount of confidence that has proven over history of being capable of reducing stats n' opponents seasonal success to nothingness.
Yes,they've limped into the playoffs but anybody in their right mind can see that they are far from limping into this most favorable matchup vs a weak rushing defensive San Diego team.
Battles fought in the trenches are usually won by the team with
grinding D and Stellar Running game.
Thinking about a similar situational team scenario...
Last time Ravens played a super bowl in Florida,Who was their QB (lol) ,who was their defensive coordinator ?
Just passing thoughts as this Jets team will be pumped by 7 disrespectful dog points that will throw fuel to the fire. 
Kind of reminds me when Jeff Hoss n' Gigantes were 7 point dogs to Jim Kelly's high flying offense in Tampa..lol
Was a grinding game,made a ton grabbing 7 and Thank You 
Scotty Norwood .
Many factors point to this being the right place and time for an ambush. Just Hoping it's not Rex but Turner wearing Custard's hat.

Look for Sprolles to have a big game on the screens and underneath patterns. SD will be able to move the ball quite well against Jets D. If the Colts didn't lay down the Jets wouldn't even be here. SD- 24  Jets 13
