this isn't 2008 people.  ALOT of things are different.

    for those that don't remember....

    1)  This pats team isn't as good as the 07 pats that were UNDEFEATED

    2) This Giants team isn't as good, but is close.  this team is probably 80% of that stout team

    3)   MAJOR FACTOR:   Tom Brady was Hurt in the 08 Superbowl.  He was immmobile and couldn't move well.  I think it was a hurt ankle.  Tom Brady is alot healthier this time around.

    4)  New England knows they can lose a sb with Brady and co.

    5)  Giants won the 1st time they met this year.  Remember back in 07 the Giants lost to Ne but won the rematch.

take New England -3.        I have to fade the public using NFL logic on this one.  I know I know.   It's fun to pick the underdog in this one, but I have a rich history with new england games.  I've capped correctly every new england Superbowl in history except for one.....the 1997 game against Green Bay.   The stat about New Englands porus defense is...B.S.   If New England's Defense was that bad....would they have even made it to the Superbowl?!?!?!?!    think about it

New England to cover and the Under.         and BTW i'm pulling like hard for the Giants

2 QBs with over 6000 yards coming into the SB...hmm..  Quick turf indoors...  60+ points!  Really like the OVER here.

As for the side..  Last QB with the ball?  Should be one hell of a game!!!  Cant wait.

One thing to add...The patriots defense has really stepped up in the playoffs and have played alot better....That said, I like the pats..easy..Giants already beat them once this yr...and its hard to beat a great football team 2x in a yr...Im sure Bill will have plenty up his sleeve for this game

This is what my first thoughts were, BB and co. rarely fall to the same team twice in the same season. G-men will bring it, but the winner will be the team that pressures the QB more. Going to be a good game.

This is what my first thoughts were, BB and co. rarely fall to the same team twice in the same season. G-men will bring it, but the winner will be the team that pressures the QB more. Going to be a good game.

Couple things here: I had set the line at NE -2' last week BEFORE we even knew who would be playing in the SB.  At 2' I was cock sure it was the NYG game to lose.  When it opened at NE -3' my jaw dropped because I just could not believe the lines makers had this one leaning NE.  My best friend asked me, who is a die hard Giants fan and all I told him was I will work on the total for him and said sorry.

Bill Belichick has never lost to the same team twice in the same year.  Also, did you notice the effort NE was putting into running the ball against Baltimore?  Signs of a different ball controlled offense in preparation for the NYG.

As a Dolphins fan I have transferred my allegiance to the NYG in the playoffs but this will be anti-climatic for me as I already know who will win.  The game will be close and somewhat low scoring (for these teams) with probable last minute FG to put NE over the top.

Projected score something like or around 26 NE -22 NYG

    NE - 2'
    Under 55'

    GL all,

Not thing I fear more than the NFC East going to the Super Bowl. The last time they meet, GMen made a statement. This time around NE have 7 Players from that meeting while the NYG have 14 players.

Recap of the championship games, Yeah... No Harbough.... Yeah.

Harbough's Ravens should have call that last time out, now they going home empty handed and an extra Time Out that they could use.Excellent coaching to bad coaching. Flacco did show up this time and NE was nervous.

SF defense was stout, but NYG was not much different. Special team they out play SF, Offense they have more of a chance than 49'ers.

I dont see why the GMen will not win again this time.

GMen win SU. Better on Offense, Defense, special team and Coaching staff.

tough one to cap particulary with it being indoors and perfect conditions.  first thought was on the under and possibly giants by a squeeker, and this is coming from a brady fan. need to look into this deepper before making the play though. just my 2cents right off the cuff.

It was a bummer that SF lost the game because they beat themself and because of one man.

I had it good on the morning game, but lost half of my winning on the second game.

Just about every Pats backers who I talked to before the SF vs NYG game, they all wished that SF would win, they just don't want their team to face the NYG again.....that said it all.

Majority of public think NYG would cover (even winning out right)......but Vegas had the Pats giving 4-3.5 @ the opening, well...they know something (don't tell me that the movement of the spread is an equalizer 'cause bigest bets would come in within 5-10 mins. before kick off time).

NYG has beat every tough teams imaginable, they beat the Pats once and why wouldn't they able to do it again.

That'd just summed up the mood of the public and you all know that if the public always win then there wouldn't be Vegas...there wouldn't be any bookies left to take your bets.

NE @ any spreads !.....but don't morgage your house, just your wife would do.

Both teams had mediocre starts to the season. But since have made corrections, got healthier and now come in as the two hottest teams.  Giants have won 5 straight, while the Patriots have won 10 straight.  The last loss for the Patriots was at Foxboro in early November against the Giants 24-20.  It ended Brady's home winning streak of 31.  If you recall it was a scoreless first half marred by turnovers and tough defense.  In the game, the Giants were able to get to Brady with 2 sacks and he also lost a fumble and threw 2 interceptions.  Both offenses got it together in the 4th quarter where they scored 31 combined points.  Basically it came down to who had the ball last and Eli ended up with it and made it count.
I see this Superbowl being very similar.  Although there's no way the first half will be scoreless, but it will be back and forth and whoever has the ball last will win it.  The second half of that game show the scoring potential (all 44 pts in second half).  So, I see this game as being high scoring, possibly both teams in the 30s.

Still unsure on the side, but am going with the OVER.

    Good Luck All.

I think the Giants kill this team...we all get to see exactly how weak the AFC was compared to the NFC this year

    NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS!!! LARGE WAGER.

GIANTS is just a team for Vegas to get money. Out of their way into the playoffs, the refs has been cheating against this team. 3 wks now, Giants has been getting people CASH--->PUBLIC pounds! The public will pound the Giants to make it 2.5 but I see this already a PATRIOTS superbowl WIN. GL next year and congrats to these 2 teams.

First off - let's just recap:

Baltimore = sure handed Lee Evans drops the game winner, and then Billy Cundiff misses a chip shot that would of at least meant O.T......

San Francisco = a rookie returner muffs not one but 2 punts! One goes for the go ahead TD, while the other is the game winner in O,T.!!!

In my opinion, due to a dropped pass and a couple of special teams mistakes the 2 best teams are not playing in the Superbowl this year - but am I bitter? Nahh..........

Anyways, back to the game - Flacco was throwing all over the Pats, but the running game was stifled. This plays right into N.Y.'s offensive strengths anyways. Manningham, Nicks, and Cruz - no way the Pats have the manpower to cover all 3. Also if N.Y.'s "D" plays to even half of their ability - I have to (albeit begrudgingly) take the 3.5 and the VaGiants. And since it's indoors, fast field, I've gotta take over 55.....

Man, this is like picking which is my favorite turd in the toilet.........

    Excuses excuses.

Flacco threw all over the PAts but Smiths recievers were blowing out the Giants for huge plays. Lucky Smith is not a top tier QB.  I agree on the over.

Still analyzing but I think the Giants will defend better and we all know about the porous pass defense of the Patriots.  Thoughts?

In 2008 the giants handed the new england patriots there worst loss in franchise history, now for the rematch. The patriots D isn't half of what it was then, this line will drop and will continue to drop by game time. Vegas maybe a bit favorable to the belichick and brady combo thats just my opinion. Call the giants win against san fran lucky, or what ever u wish, but alex smith had a bunch of 3 and outs late in that game and when the chips were on the table the giants weakest part of there squad came up with a few huge plays, aka special teams. It'll be a fast track for sure and i'm only going in one direction here. grab a hook, giants plus 3.5 as they win outright.  GIANTS WIN!!!!

Leaning towards the giants right now, me thinks N.Y's D has been improving through their last few games of regular season and throughout the playoffs. The|Giants have become a well rounded team whereas the Pats only have a strong offence. At 55.5 the under looks rather enticing.

won't be pulling the trigger yet though, still over a week to go for the game and anything can happen between now and then
