CONFUSING FACTOID:

According to an article on Covers the line is set expecting Whitehurst to start, with Hasselbeck it's a FG or so lower. I personally don't see the big difference whether or not Whitehurst or Hasselbeck starts.

On the other hand, the books expect the public to bet on New Orleans towards game time which would move the line giving Seattle even more points (unless an early announced Hasselbeck start moves the line to +7.5).

My suggestion: put a few units on Seattle now and bet more if the line moves to +13 come game time.

Seattle just name Matt Hasslcrack as their starting QB. Musical chairs at QB is a recipe for failure and disaster. I was banking on Whitehurst to start after giving a great showing over the lambs last week. Hawks are going to lose badly at home.

Saints have a great QB Seahawks have mediocre at best

Saints have 3 good RBs to run and catch ball from above better QB

Saints have 2 really good receivers and 3 other decent that they use.

Seahawks have small journeyman running backs that suck.

Seahawks have 1 good inexperienced receiver and 3 other shitty receivers.

Seahawks have an up and down defense with a good crowd and 12th man, unless they are down by 14 early.

Saints have opportunistic experienced defense that will confuse 1st starting qb and also one that would hurt the other stupid good for nothing old regular one that they have with a big mouth and an aching old back.

I kinda like the Saints here

So here it is the public is leaning to heavily on the Saints, but Seattle isn't suppose to be there anyway. They have nothing to lose and everything to gain at 7-9 I'm from Detroit and it sad to think the Lions were only one game away from the playoffs. Seattle is dangerous and with Pete Carrol treating this like a bowl game anything can happen. Gotta take Seattle +10. Good luck everybody.

Julius Jones is the Saints starting running back , He was cut By the Seahawks. Against his old team at home he had 4 carries for 4 yards
It does not bode well for the Saints running game Hassleback threw for 366 yards and was not sacked . the Seahawks kicked 4 FG
Final score 34-19 I like The Seahawks getting 10.5 The Saints money line and the over

although i hate to lay DD, there's a reason the spread is as high as it is and there's other reasons that this spread should be even higher. But the books can't afford to give too many points to a playoff home dog. Now it's moved down to 10, and u gotta like the value.

BIG PICTURE: Super Bowl Champs vs. Seattle Scrubhawks

1 team that is loaded with talent that managed to upset Manning & The Colts in last year's Super Bowl versus a team that has looked like crap most of this year and barely beat the Rams at home to get into the playoffs. If it wasn't for one of the lamest playbooks i've seen in a big game by the Rams, this game would be in St. Louis. These Hawks will be exposed for who they really are and that's a 7-9 team. Same Hawks that folded up when facing quality opponents. Same scrubs who got blown out at home vs. the Giants, Chiefs, & Falcons.

I also had the Seahawks last week, and am wheeling right back with them again. While I do have serious reservations about a Seattle win, a Saints "winning by 2 TD's", on the road here, is absurd!

Yeah. 10 points is alot... and I'm sure they can still cover it, but that's alot... for a playoff game. I don't care how bad Seattle is.

Just can't get past how bad Seattle is. They are 7-9, no matter how tough their home field advantage is, they are 7-9 in a crap division. Hard to stay off the Saints even if the line moves to 14.

the loss of thomas and ivory hurt but the saints have to many weapons to let that bother them in the run game , reggie bush will fill that gap when called upon , if the stupid rams coaching let steven jackson run the ball last week we would be talking about the saints going to st louis this week. Qwest field will be rocking but the saints just have to much offense where the seahawks do not , hasslebeck looks lost this year i think he throws moderately in this game til the 4th quarter when they'll be forced to but the saints will be to much , the over is where im going to go here staying away from this 10 points spread i get the feeling the hawks maybe poke one in very late to get it under 10 points , saints ml and the over 44 for me.
