I believe wind and wind chill will have a factor in this game and I even put my hard earned sheckles on as you can see....
If this game were in the Superdome the o/u would be 48 or more...I am only playing the under on the weather and the fact that the Bears have to play ball control to win, and can do that very well with Forte and short passes by Orton. All these factors contributed to my decision.

There have been alot of good comments here and respect everyones opinion. One comment I don't agree with is the weather not having any affect on the game. I have been playing the odds on sporting events, football primarily for the last 30 years and in all of my decisions are based in part to the weather conditions. I have also played some college ball and weather has been a factor in 25 of the 35 games I played. Wind, Rain, Snow, Cold etc...... I remember one game in particular when it was about 28 degrees and our quarterback could not grip the ball and receivers dropped about 10 balls due to the cold weather. So to say that weather will not affect a game I have to disagree. Don't get me wrong though I never soley base my decisions on weather alone but it is a factor. My prediction on this game would be with the Bears and the under here. This is based on the weather, defenses, and the fact that New Orleans plays horrible on the road on grass.

Take it for what it is worth and this is only my opinion.

I haven't committed to either side yet, but reading through this forum I see a lot of support for the Bears. Let make a few points:
What about the fact that the Saints' offense is far and away better than the Bears'? Brees finally has all his weapons back, and we've seen how good he is when his team is healthy.
Being used to "playing in the cold" doesn't make as big a difference as everyone thinks. I can think of numerous examples... the time Mike Vick came into Lambeau and beat Brett Favre in the freezing cold in the playoffs about 5 years ago... last year, Jaguars go to Pittsburgh for their playoff game and cover despite freezing temperatures and everybody predicting that the Jags couldn't play in the cold. The cold doesn't necessarily win games for whoever's from the colder city.
The Bears offense really, really stinks, and their win over the Jags was not that impressive if you watched the game... the Jags are pretty awful.
Defense, however, is on the Bears side, and we all know that wins games... but is it that good? and can the Bears offense really crush the Saints D?
Stop thinking so much about the weather and look at the teams. The Saints are a very solid team, and the Bears are shaky. The Saints are GETTING three points.

Well I have played in mild weather and tonight is not mild. Game time forecast I looked at was 9 mph winds 27 degrees. That may be mild for an eskimo but I am no eskimo. That is #%&*#@ COLD!!!!! The ball will be like a rock. Weather again is not the main factor of my decision.

Bears passing D is also high because teams can't run on them so they resort to throwing. They are the most thrown upon team in the league as of right now.
This is close to a pick of any team, but with Chicago at homefield advantage and the Saints awful road record, going with the BEARS here. Small play on the over.

Full , with all due respect I live in the Northeast and 27 degrees is NOT Eskimo weather . I have worked outside my whole life here and in the Winter that's NOT bitter cold. By the way , didnt you say you played ball in the cold? Some of these guys will have short sleeves on tonight. Anyway BOL to all

Good stat but what were the totals in those matchups? How much of those games went over 46 versus under 46?
Too late for me to change my mind but interested in what it is. Like I stated earlier I'm not banking on the cold weather factor for the total just thinking the Saints & Bears will utilize their strength in their running game and play conservative. Too much at stake for both teams to make costly mistakes in this game.

all week long i was leaning towards the bears, but i came home from work today and saw a ton of public money going on the bears and i'm beginning to think the saints are the play. yea, the saints have sucked on the road, but i think they come to play tonight. it's basically win or their season is officially over. i'll take the potent passing game with an adequate running game against a bears team that is just average on both sides of the ball. i don't think that home field advantage will be that big of a factor tonight for the bears.
