As far as the game I will wait till right before the game and take the under have a feeling there will be a lot of running from the Bears to limit the Saints possessions.

The wind chill will be around 10* at kickoff, the wind only at 10mph, so that won't effect Brees too much in the passing game. Looking back at his play in college, he was fairly accurate with the deep ball in cold conditions.

Chicago WRs have had a lot of drops this year and in the cold weather Devin Hester won't be as effective in the passing game. Hester has also fumbled two punt returns last weekend and New Orleans has fair coverage units...

Forte has been getting a lot of publicity in the Nolia this season and the coaches will load the box to limit his effectiveness. Saints defensive woes are at the corner position, but Chicago lacks a dependable wr to expose this and Kyle Orton will also need to improve his level of play (since his ankle injury)...

Cold weather usually favors the bears, but I see this going the other way...Saints are playing well offensively and Chicago has been depending on turnovers and field position for their offense to put up points...

Look for low scoring in this game and take the points... I teased Saints +9 and under 51 and took a money line play on the saints at +135...

Hello Fellow Cappers...

Tonights game feature New Orleans pass happy offense vs Chicago bears "not so great defense", in my opinion. Saints defense should allow Matt Forte to run over them tonight and opening the passing game for the bears. Meanwhile the saints will get a couple of touchdown allowing the over to hit as well to keep up with the bears ( I know bears sucks) but seriously i take the team at home plus the fact the saints rush defense will cough up them yards anywhere they play...

Small play on the over

Also the bears needing a playoff spot as well doesnt hurt either ...BOL TO ALL

I agree with both wabash and jackal about the weather. I am on the under but not for that reason. If it was down pouring all day and the field turned to crap like Heinz Field does, then yes, I would take that into consideration. My under play is for these simple reasons and they are just my opinion.

Drew Brees has played poorly on the road this year. His QB rating in away games and the Saints record on the road is proof of that. The other reason is that this game will be a battle. This game is important for both teams. This will be a grind it out kind of game. A lot of hard hitting, Chicago running the ball and the clock running will play a big factor in the under. If Chicago wants to win this game they have to control the clock and keep their D off the field.

I waited till it got to where I was comfortable at making a play on the under. The total opened at 45.5 - 46 depending on the book and went down to 44 in some spots. Its back to 46.5 at my book and I bought up to 47.

looks like Marty Booker might not play for the Bears, as well as CB Randall Gay and SS Harper, will both be out on defense for the Saints.

BidDaddy , you make valid points but on the other hand I can remember the Jim Kelly days when that offense was unstoppable. I just think that with both theses teams prolific return men we could be seeing some short field drives . But then again, ANYTHING can happen and thats why we gamble isnt it ? LOL. BOL to you BigDaddy

I got it initially at 44'. You guys think I can get a middle at 47 or 47' or do you think if it goes either way it will go that way big , meaning 17-14 or 35-28 ? Any ideas ?

NO +3 is great value

Why only Detroit? What about wins against the Colts, Eagles, and Minnesota, who the Saints lost to at home.

true.

If we already knew the outcome of these games before it started then it wouldn't be called gambling.

As far as the return game IMHO I feel that Hester has held back a bit on the returns due to his WR role this season but then again this could be the game he returns 4 for a TD

Im hearing alot of people talkin about icy horrible conditions, just because its december, The only thing they expect is some flurries and a 10-15 mph wind. Which isnt anyting out of the ordinary. remember the last two time these teams met was at chitown In the winter and there was a ton of points scored:

from what I understand the "hard ball" thing is a myth.

I saw on nfl network how they keep them in coolers with pocket heaters in them, if anything they might even be softer.

I lost a chuNk of cash on that game, back during the Saints' Katrina-year playoff run. It could be that they win this game, but I can't bring myself to backing them again.
