takin the over 39.5.  and for morons like joe daddy who like to call me out but don't offer picks themselves  this game is too close for me to call a team.  but if I had to pick it would be chicago + 3.  Tyler Thigpen may be a capable backup in Miami, but I can't go against Cutler and co.  Tyler was kinda iffy in KC though.  but I can't hold that against him in this game.

I was kind of hoping Chicago would be favoured here, seeing as Miami looks to be playing their 3rd string QB and are only 1-3 at home, while Chicago is 3-1 on the road. I'm assuming their counting for short week Home team then.

Miami might look to run the ball a lot here with their QB situation, but Chicago pretty much will stuff them, being the 2nd best running D in the league.

Chicago has been overrated all season long forever because they just seem to know how to lose games. This is the team that lost to Seattle and Washington and barely beat an absolutely brutal Buffalo team.

Right now around 57% of the public is on Chicago. The line opened at Miami -2 and is already down to -1.5. Hoping that line continues to get pushed down to a Miami underdog.

Either way, I'd take Miami in this game.

Good Lord, it seems like you sneeze on Chad Pennington and he gets injured! No way Tyler Thigpen will be able to handle this Bears D. Here's how I see it, the #4 defense against the #8 defense, but the #16 offense (but now they're stuck with Thigpen) against the #29 offense? And it's this Thursday night? This game will be ugly and low scoring.

    Bears -2.5 & under 41

Chicago +3 if the total continues to climb, I'll lean under.

We got a win against the Titans but it was a very costly win as a lot of key players got injured during that game. I'm not really worried that Tyler is starting in this game more than I am worried about the injuries to our offensive line. Tyler is very mobile (not Vick mobile) but will need the time as he seems to try and force the ball in tight situations. I remember last season when he game into a game and almost led the Dolphins in comeback victory but threw it on 1st down in the red zone in very tight coverage for an int...I'm hoping he learned his lesson but if he didn't then I guess Ramsey will come in after only being on the team for 2 days and...

Henne is not out of the question as of yet for this game but I'm not sure if that's a good thing as he was very inconsistent healthy I can't imagine how he will play injured.

Our starters Long and Carey are injured on offense and defensively Wake, Bell, among others are banged up so we have young corners out there trying to defend Cutler and co.

Both teams are coming off victories and a short week. Miami finally won a game at home so aside from the injuries I'm hoping that we can build on that come Thursday but it looks very dim for my Dolphins come Thursday.

    Good luck

We got a win against the Titans but it was a very costly win as a lot of key players got injured during that game. Jake Long was back at practice today for the Dolphins but still banged up...not sure how effective he will be on Thursday but it looks like he will play.

Cam Wake was back at practice and seems ok...Chris Clemons was still out of practice today so it looks like rookie Reshad Jones will get the start. He did look pretty solid coming into the Titans game and getting his first sack and interception of the season.

Henne was still not at practice today but Ramsey was...I guess if worse comes to worse Ronnie Brown will be our 3rd string QB running the wildcat the entire time.

Hard to figure if Cutler is going to have one of his multiple TO days. I rate this game as close to a pick 'em. I  think the Bears D is the difference maker here.

    Bears -2.5 & under 41

I agree on the total.... I think that both team will struggle to run the ball.... I see alot of punting and failed redzone attempts...

I have a feeling Jay Cutler is gonna have a back to earth game against the Dolphins on the road on short rest.....

however, if the Dolphins can't get the running game going, which I don't think they will... they are definitely at a disadvantage at the QB position... Thigpen was actually good in KtC, but I can't expect him to play well.... what I'm trying to say is I think Cutler's turnovers will cancel out Miami's qb situation....

I'm stayin away from the side but I love the UNDER.....

this could be like a 19-13 type game....

maybe Hester will have a td....

If anyone was sharp enough to notice, Cutler hardly throws the ball when his receivers are not in position and takes the hit instead. He is wearing it for the team.

Also, he has hardly been picked and its been more from a missed catch by Johnny Knox and a redzone pick which in my view was more from a 4 vs 1 defense.

Miami was lucky against Tennessee and Vince Young played stupid. Miami won't be able to run the ball and the Bears will be fired up to make it 4-1 on the road.

    Bears 27 - 9

    Chicago - 24                               Miami - 21

    Bears +1                               over 41

The Monsters of the Midway flex their muscles down on South Beach. Da Bears feast on Dolphin. It helps to know that the Dolphins go belly up playing at home after a su dog win.

    Bears - Over

I heard today that Long will play barring any setbacks. As good as Long is, I think are line would still be pretty good without him. I have high expectations for the John Jerry.

Not sure if Sparano has revealed whom his starting QB will be, but I fully expect it to be Thigpen.

Either way Miami is the better team in a better situation.

I think Thigpen will be doing just fine. He finished his 2008 year with a 76.0 QB rating and Henne's is @ 79.4. Granted they went 2-14, but they did have some crazy antics. I remember watching one game where Thigpen went out to catch a TD haha. I wonder what the Dolphins might try? Those sort of plays shouldn't really work against the bears though, I think they are more disciplined than that. t

These thur games in a short week favor the home team. Also the over, as defenses are tired and beat up. Look at balt last week! Cutler consistently fails to show up in prime time when the pressure is on. 24-20.   Mia and Ov for the large!

ok this one is a little tricky... first of all the line is totally wrong i mean hell, why is miami favored in the first place? to me the line should be Da Bears -1 or throw a hook in there if your greedy.... on some sites i seen where it opened at miami -3 WTF??...  oh yeah and the 3RD!! string quarterback is gonna start the game for the dolphins... yeah yeah yeah i know i watched ol tyler throw a touchdown last week, but i mean lets see here if he could go out and do that everyweek why is he behind THA CHADS!... with no explosive offense expected from thigpen in the pass game on the other hand chicago's D has only giving up 79 yards on the ground in there last three games. i look for the bears defense to stop the run and keep pressure on thigpen on 3rd down.. i look for 2 turnovers from each team but the BEARS coming out on top 30-26

    Da BEARS!! +1.5

Even though Cutler can be as sorry as a 3rd string QB at times when he decides to go into interception mode I think Chicago can overcome with some strong defensive pressure on Thiggy in case Jay is off. Who knows he may even have a decent game ya never know with that guy hes like a box of chocolates -- DA BEARS

BOL mi amigo ....One of us shall grace the winners enclosure..
If one was to look at the quality of opposition both teams have faced this season one would notice that the Dolphins have faced far superior teams in the context of the season which is what the line suggests ..Some results ie..Pittsburgh were complete farces so they hold no liability for those losses in my opine..They have continued to be resilient and I see no different tonight even with a third string QB starting..I have faith in systems, not individuals and this game is prime example....
Where as the Bears have struggled against weaker opposition and beaten the good teams that were plagued with injuries or in a slump.Seeing this is a road game and the Bears did everything at home too lose the game last week against the Vikes yet they still won,I see them getting their time in the basket with Wilbon on heat...
