One of the games of the week here. Finally I'm gonna side with the Steelers. Could be like the Ravens-Jets game in week one but I think the Steelers will score and can do it on both sides of the ball so I'll give em the edge here.

    Pick = Steelers-1

    My Guesstimate - Steelers-23 Ravens-13

Going to go with baltimore here in a close one on just a gut feeling , nobody thought the steelers would go 4-0 without big ben i just dont see charlie batch putting up big numbers against this defence and if the ravens can force a timely turnover or 2 they will win this game , like a real tough physical low scoring defensive battle in this one with the ravens pulling it out .

this will be a great game to watch, but i'm not about to put my money on batch to do it again behind a suspect o-line, nor am i going to put my money against that elite defensive unit.

Unless my research turns something interesting up, I'll watch this one quietly on the side with my money elsewhere, good luck to those who play it.

i'll admit i was on the wrong side last week as i picked the Bucs over the Steelers, and that was clearly over by the 2nd quarter.  but i live to learn, and i learned not to bet against a superbowl caliber defense with a young inexperienced squad.  guess i was getting too hyped with josh freeman, but i still like the kid and think he will be around for awhile.

but this game is much different and baltimore is improved on offense while the steelers are having to start batch.  i can't see Ravens losing this game.  they both have great defense, but i think the edge goes to baltimore with a much better running attack.  as long as Flacco doesnt throw a pick, i have a feeling the Ravens can force a few turnovers.  im still not sold on Mendenhall nor am i entirely sold on the Steelers offense.  i do like Mike Wallace tho.

Bet Ravens.  Solid Tease.  Leave that total alone.

ravens gave up 124 yards rushing to a no namer.

i like mendenhall to do some damage, i think batch is a good enough veteran.

the ravens should be playing better...flacco, rice, mcgehee, housmanz, boldin, heap...this is a hard game to cap.

but this game is much different and baltimore is improved on offense while the steelers are having to start batch.  i can't see Ravens losing this game.  they both have great defense, but i think the edge goes to baltimore with a much better running attack.  as long as Flacco doesnt throw a pick, i have a feeling the Ravens can force a few turnovers.  im still not sold on Mendenhall nor am i entirely sold on the Steelers offense.  i do like Mike Wallace tho.

Bet Ravens.  Solid Tease.  Leave that total alone.

Where are you getting your info? How does Balt have a much better running attack? Pitt averages 150 ypg (good for 3rd in the NFL) while Balt averages 89 (23rd in the NFL). Mendenahll is also averaging 111 ypg (4th in the NFL) while Ray Rice had to leave last game and is questionable for this game with a sprained knee.

And you should check the turnover ratio for these teams as well. Pitt's currenlty tied for first at +6 while Balt is tied for last at -6. If I'm worried about a team giving the ball away it's Balt.

The Ravens have the Steelers number. They both have the same style play, to the advantage of the Ravens

    Take the Ravens +1

Hate when people post stuff that doesn't make sense. How do they have the Steelers number? They've split the last 10 matchups but Pitt is 5-2 in the last 7.

this is a very close one, but I just think that pitt is overall the better team here, pitts D is great at forcing turnovers, while the ravens offence has struggled holding on to the ball, add to the fact that this game is in pittsburgh and they are just a 1pt fav. the line should be -3 here. take the better team at home -1.

no way steelers start 4-0 without roeth. line indicates that... plus the fact that balt struggled with a cleve team last week while itt crushed. they want you on pitt.

hey listen:  im not a stat guy and for you to be spitting stats at me AFTER 3 WEEKS is a joke.  i'll take 3 good running backs ( McClain, Rice, & McGahee ) over 1 good running back ( Mendenhall ) and recognize the better running game.  i dont need to look at numbers and make my head dizzy.  i learn by watching players perform in college and how it translates into their nfl performance.  it's that simple.  in other words, i think 3 capable running backs are better than 1 capable running back.  does that make sense to you?  or do u need to study another stat book?

If this were last season, I'd say the Ravens merited a shot here. But not in 2010!  The Steelers are easily the best team in the league right now. While I admit their "O" is nothing to brag about with Batch,Dixon or Ben, their defense should totally dominate this contest!

no big ben is not playing and pits has not faced a tough D like the ravens this year.. every time they meet in pits its almost always a team wins it within 3 points.. this time ravens take it by 2..

take my words to the bank

This is a no play for me. Pitt winning this year despite no ben but remember who won those big close games the past few years against the Ravens. It was yessir...big ben with the clutch scores. Too close for me. Good luck
