Baltimore at Kansas City (01/09/2011)

The game isn't dictated by a certain percentage on the favorite. You must have been an X-Files fan! New Orleans underestimated Seattle and their defense played like shit. Lynch run was a great summary of the game for those no tackling bums!  Baltimore played better teams, has a better coach, and will not let KC run the ball down their throat. I have to believe that Baltimore's sole defensive strategy is to stop the run and make KC throw. That isn't how KC won their games.

Morning all...I don't normally post on here, allthough I read the board everyday.  As a Pittsburgh Steelers fan I watch alot of Ravens games. Not that this means anything, but if you look at them from road angle here is what u get:

9/13 @jets: defensive struggle, they squeek by and win 10-9

9/19 @cinci: another defensive struggle, they loose 10-16 to cinci

10/3 @pitt: same story here but Flacco marched down the fiedld down 10-14 and completes an unbelieveable 30-40 yard td catch to win on one of the last plays of the game to go up 17-14....again this team was beat and pulled out the miracle to win, thats what the game is all about I guess.

10/17 @new england: had new england beat, let them come back in the 4th quarter with their "overhyped defense".  Then went on to let them win the game in overtime...still haven't coverer 3.5 yet on the road....

11/11 @ATL:  didn't show up in the first half, went to the air secold half and tried to make a comeback but again the "Defense" couldn't stop Atlanta from scoring..I think this was a Thursday night stinker that got real interesting at the end....Ravens loose 21-26

11/21 @Carolina:  Ah yes...Cupcake time...Killed the panthers 37-13...covered the 13 and then some...nuff said !

12/13 @Houston: Monday night, everyone watched it...Balt dominates first half, gives up a bomb to Andre Johnson right before half....gets the 3q return kickoff...their rolling right, WRONG...how about giving up 21 unanswered points to Houston with that shut down De-Fense again...games goes to over time and ends on a PICK 6 to get the win and cover...I was on balt that night.....so again they pull a rabbit out their ass to get the W....

12/26 @cleveland: day after x-mas, no one is really motivated, flacco has 2 short td and 102 yards,Colt throws 3 picks, raven have 2 fumbles, hillis does nothing, ray rice gets by as well. Ravens go ahead and win 20-10 to a team they are supposed to crush, division game or not...this is supposed to be a team to trust on the road ??

The team gives up way to much thru the air if KC wants to throw, but why when they can run the ball allday long and do the same on this D. Ed reed is not Troy Palamalu and Baltimore gives up points.

So with all of this being said, I am on a play against Baltimore today with KC +3.5, and total going over 40.5 once Baltimore gets down and desperate and has to go thru the air. GL all....hope this one helps....sorry so long but I was up early out here on the west coast with nothing better to do but type out my thoughts.

still like the ravens and the over today, possibly greenbay, and wolpack in college too.

Chiefs on the ML +170 small play, taking a shot - this game is setting up a lot like the Saints - Seahawks game except for one thing, the Ravens can play defense !  Chiefs at home are tough but I think Ravens probably cover, so I'm taking the Raven -3 -110 on the side.

Brokebrotha said it, Ravens D gives up yds thur the air. Anyone who watched the last 2 mins of the Raven/Bingle gm saw Cinic move down the field to the Red Zone. The game came down to the last play for Cinic, incomplete pass, game over Ravs were lucky.

The death of Ed Reed's Brother on Fri [?]and the linebacks coach's sister passed this pass week as well,.will effect this team. how?  I dont know.

No one could predict Hasselback having the game of his life despite a few cappers here correctly seeing a exhausted NO "D".

Manning has become dependent on field goals that game was a total coin flip from day one.

So playing in a far more difficult division, the Ravens play in a more difficult division (where the other teams gave up on average 70 points LESS than those turds in the KC division) the Ravens scored a whopping seven points less than KC this year.  Of course, Baltimore gave up 56 points less than the Chiefs...

Baltimore will score more than KC today. 

Too many people on the ravens. I'm on the vegas side.
