I'm considering playing $25 on a prop for KC to win the AFC.

It's only $25... and if I win, I'll be banking.

    Baltimore - 27                                   Kansas City - 17

    Ravens -1.5                             over 41

Ravens offense will get it done today. Over in a Ravens playoff game  that's weird. Rice, Flacco & Boldin plus a Chief offense that scored 17 or more points in 10 games has the makings of an over. Ravens - New England next week

KC is a good team but to inexperienced.  It's like a deer in a headlight type of situaton for KC.  The gritty veteran Ravens Defense will force a couple of turnovers, which will be a game changer.  Ravens take this one by 10-14 pts.

Leaning Baltimore.  They've won their last two wild card playoff games on the road and they are stacked with veteran talent whose been in this position before.

Filthy Ravens by 7 although I'd love to see the Chiefs beat them.

If the Saints/Seahawks line is 10.5 - shouldn't this game be about the same? The Chiefs showed me exactly what type of "playoff caliber" team they were last week.

People, don't buy into the "oh well, gosh darn shucks, we played soft and then we pulled our guys to rest up for the playoffs" routine.

I watched that game - there was no "soft play" or "letting up" until midway through the fourth when the game was pretty much decided - they just got schooled by the frickin' Raiders at home!

Just look at this stat, and tell me what you think. Not just about the Chiefs, but, any team that loses to the Raiders twice, and - if not for the complete ineptitude of Josh McDaniels - should have lost to the Broncos - - TWICE!!! - - Should they have made the playoffs???

The answer is no. It should have been the Chargers winning the division and hosting this game and Matt Cassel should have been knee deep in supermodels right now. So, take the gift Vegas is giving you this week - you won't be sorry.....

Ravens -1.5 = = pound it........ HARD!!!!!!!!!!! HARDER THAN YOU'VE EVER POUNDED ANYTHING BEFORE!!!!!!!! WHEN YOU THINK YOU'VE POUNDED IT ENOUGH, POUND IT 5 MORE TIMES!!!!!!!!!

Wait until Saturday when people have been betting Baltimore to more than a FG (or more) favorite!

It's not the best bet of the week but KC at home has some value with a great running game and I assume Cassel will bounce back from a bad bad game. Plus, who doesn't like home dogs in the playoffs?

Someone wrote that KC are like a deer in a headlight - really? Whether or not CW goes to Florida he's still a great playcaller and will find ways to run Charles and Thomas down Baltimore's throat. Bowe is a great target on play action and in the red zone.
The solid but overrated Ravens D# will be worn down by a clock controlling KC offense. RC will make life tough on an overconfident Flacco and CC has made strange playcalls in crucial situations which will cost Baltimore.

I just don't see Baltimore winning this game and laying points, are you kidding me

    Hey Quadimodo,

" If the Saints/Seahawks line is 10.5- should'nt this game be the same? "

Are you Suggesting Chiefs are equally inferior to Seahawks ?

    lol

Brother, you were pretty far off on Chiefs-Raiders game "smelling a KC rout" n' appears you're not doing so hot picking winners lately.
Are we a lowly Covers salesman steering confused cappin' novices towards pay for pics perdition ? lol
A word of caution to all novices before pounding game 5 x times as Quad is suggesting.
Score could be closer than most think in what should be a low scoring game with possibility of 1/2 pt back door crap cover via KC TD in closing seconds. There was absolutely no vital motivation for Chiefs to play all out last week. All the motivation was on Raiders side,It was as posted THE game of the year making $$$$ .
KC will show up for this one and Ravens should win and cover but would not be surprised to see a 20 - 19 final score.
Ravens ML or tease is the way.

No, just one semi-bad weekend, happens to the best of us, but Stanford & Under helped a lot last night, and hopefully OSU & Over helps tonight.....

I live in Baltimore and have a good feel for the Ravens. Their schedule was a lot tougher than KC's. We played the Steelers twice, the Falcons, Saints, Bucs and Patriots. They were in everyone of them. I don't think they were motivated in the last two games against the Browns and Bengals. But they will be highly motivated on Sunday. It's a playoff road game and they are dying for a rematch against the Patriots or Steelers. Take the Ravens -1.5 to -3.5.  They will win by at least 10.

ravens shoulda beat the patriots.....but didn't.   why not???

    they led 17-7

for the same reason they won't win this week.....

your offensive coordinator turns into a little box in the second half  of games instead of going for the knockout punch.

    he is the worst.

keep throwing those check downs to ray rice, Cam....see where that gets you.

their defense isn't great anymore men...you have to score points in this league if you wanna win.     Chiefs 19-16

Weis’s departure raising eyebrows in Kansas City

Fact 1: Last Saturday Charlie Weis agreed to leave the Chiefs and become the offensive coordinator at the University of Florida.

Fact 2: Last Sunday the Chiefs played one of their worst offensive games of the season.

Weis would have been able to put the baby to rest on this one if the Chiefs had come out smoking against the Raiders, but KC managed just 10 points at home, and when fingers started pointing, Weis was clearly in the crosshairs. But Weis says that family considerations and not reports of a touchy relationship with head coach Todd Haley was the reason for the switch. Both Haley and Weis say that Weis’s departure will have no effect when the Chiefs host Baltimore on Sunday afternoon (KC +2.5, 41).

All in all, it’s been a rough season for coaches who earned their spurs in New England – Josh McDaniels fired in Denver, Eric Mangini let go in Cleveland and Weis resigning in KC.

I copied this from the covers homepage

I liked Baltimore, after reading this I love them....

KC is a young team, hasn't been in the playoffs in years....

Ravens are a experienced team and should have no problem making it out of round 1....

Ed Reed has the most interceptions in the league, and hasn't played the whole season.....

Baltimore has too many weapons..... and can stop the run....

KC relys on the run, and Bowe, that's it.....

    Baltimore Moneyline for me

I'd lay the points but (see EasyPics backdoor cover theory)

Yeah Quadimodo,we're on the same team alright but far apart on score prognosis.

    Moral of thread ...

Since your pick percentage is down and were reduced to a single wager  to make up for a bad weekend ,you may be living on borrowed time . Lady Luck on my leash ,just a lil' caution on that 5 X betting proposition of yours.

Contrary to your belief,Chiefs are not equally inferior to Shawks,Chiefs beat Shawks 42 - 24 @ seattle this year.
Let us agree that neither team will go far without their starting QB yet most telling n' alarming stat from last week's games is KC's 0 line allowing Cassell to get sacked 5 times and Ravens 0 line allowing Flacco to get sacked 4 times. WTF !
Last 10 years Ravens have averaged 3 sacks per playoff game.
So before Giant Meteor hits Quadville expect a sackfest @ KC.
Both coaches should adapt to  glaring 0 line vulnerability bringing forth a run dominating, time killing game with odds goin' against
"Ravens Blowout" unless Cassell gets knocked out.
Team making less turnovers will win with Cassell's playoff inexperience being the difference come crunch time.

Hey Jonfon, I was just trying to help. If you single the Ravens this weekend you should make money. The Chiefs got beat pretty soundly by the Raiders and they played to win I believe. Your right about the Patriots game. They punted twice in that game on forth and 1. The second time was in the forth quarter on forth and less than a yard. I think it was a half a yard. They gave the ball back to Brady one to many times in that game. I hate Cameron. But if they get back to the game plan they used in the Saints game which is to run Rice as much as possible and limit Flacco to 20 passes they should win easy. They get carried away with passing sometimes which end up leaving the defense on the field to long. I think the defense will also score in this one. Flacco does get on my nerves though. He has potential but has no pocket presence. At least 4 times in the Bengals game he let the pocket collapse on him. He's got to get out of there quicker and either run or throw the ball away. Also the coaching staff really doesn't allow him to do much like Ryan in Atlanta. You could tell when the Ravens played them. I think with their edge in experience will get the job done Sunday. I wouldn't take them against the Pats or Steelers next week but I'll cash in Sunday for sure!!
